Hey Guys:

Just wanted to get everyone's opinion on Gibril Wilson. What's up with him this year? Is it the move to FS or a defensive scheme change? Or does he just suck this year?

I'd say it's the move to FS and the fact Wilson lacks true FS range.

The less tackle friendly position just highlights his deficiencies in coverage.

Wilson is an "attack" player put in a "react" position. I was hoping the 'fins coaching staff would recognize this and move him to SS, but no so far...watch the splinters, Gibril.

He was in solo tackle heaven last year. SS for the Raiders, behind a crap SLB. Anywhere he went, his numbers were gonna drop, but in MIA, they already had Bell, and word was out early that Bell was gonna be the SS. There's threads on this in this forum from the summer, I recall. No matter what, I think you'll never see another season from Gibril like he had in 2008.
