I didn't play sports or build houses, but I have no cartilage in my knees at all. You just can't tell. The memories, however, are yours to keep.

Chin up, bud. We're rooting for you.

Saw a cool sports car in front of the pawn shop on the way back from lunch and thought my Bromigo SWC would look sweet rolling up to the ATM window taking it to the bank

What are the chances you can get a second opinion on what you can do (if anything) based on the tests that have been done? Reason I ask is because my 2 neurosurgeons disagreed initially about how many vertebrae I needed to have fused. Doctors are knowledgeable but they don't always see the same things the same way.

This is sage advice, as medicine is a far less exact science than people think.

That said, nerves take a long time to heal, and can only regenerate so much ~ 1mm/day for a few months max, IIRC. And the nerves which control your feet are literally the longest in your body. So the chronic left foot drop probably won’t be cured by surgery, unfortunately.

Nonetheless, you can work around it, especially if the more acute right-sided issues are addressed. Definitely make sure you do physical therapy, to retain range of motion/flexibility and strength, while decisions about surgery, if needed, are finalized. Also, be careful about overdoing the ibuprofen for pain control, as it can tear up your stomach and kidneys. Consider alternating doses with Tylenol, to decrease the risk of side effects.

As for the OP, my word is carjitsu. It’s such an inspirational sport, perfect viewing for SWCs recovery fight. It’s also a great resource for those looking for used 2005 Toyota Scions.

Thinking of you bro. Hope you have less pain. Hope you find some comfort and relief.

You have brought me so many laughs over the years I owe you so very many thoughts, prayers and love, bromanski.

My apologies but is THC not an option for pain management?
There's many other things that are much stronger and would require an easy prescription I'm sure you would get

"Relax the Back" has some awesome chairs that won't fix things but make you slightly more comfortable
Sorry this is happening to you, always like your jokes and ability to make everyone laugh

PranaSleep makes very nice mattresses, we have the karma line, worth the money. So are the zero gravity chairs from Relax the Back
Good luck

BMG!

I just noticed i had not posted in here. I hereby bequeath you a voucher to call upon me to watch one Bucks game whereby I will send all my concentration rays the Bucks way. Complementary service: I will simulstream polka, upon request (volume level restrictions apply).

@SWC, have looked into a more supportive chair? Mr R got a couple of these movie theater seats that are just peachy. They have adjustable lumbar support, head support, and full recline features. Sometimes he sleeps in them when he has drainage issues. (Stupid allergies.) The tray that can be stored in the arm is keen, too. Maybe one of these would help you on your journey to the bank.

Maybe try some Yoga With Adriene.

Has a great YouTube channel with lots of free videos.
i actually own a yoga mat and do my planks and dead bugs to increase core strength but i am just fighting pretty massive arthritis and basically i just need to keep moving do my rehab walk a lot and take off some weight and keep on doing my yoga moves take that to the bank brochachos

Apples to oranges but the PT grind worked for me with a rotator cuff torn in 2 places. Got 2 opinions. Both said they could operate but dedicated PT might do the trick. 6 months, twice a week. Many plateaus And times where I thought it wasn’t going to work. It did. It was tedious and incredibly boring/frustrating at times, but I didn’t have to get my shoulder operated on. Take that to the bank!

That’s funny. We talked about my ability to throw anything or lack there of. At the very end of my throwing motion, as the ball or whatever leaves my hand, massive pain. Her response: “good thing you’re not a pitcher”. By the end though, I could throw softly.

I popped my shoulder out in my 20's and I was coaching baseball and playing old man softball at the time. They couldn't find anything wrong and just had me to PT to strengthen the areas. From then on I always had pain when I threw or had a force on my hand while extended above my shoulder (like a throwing motion but having a force pushing my hand back). For over 10 years I lived with it and continued to play softball and throw BP. I knew something wasn't right but they couldn't find anything through MRI's, x-rays etc. I had multiple MRI's over the years.

Finally I got to the point that my shoulder just ached all the time. I couldn't even sleep as that made it hurt. I went in for another consult to a shoulder specialist. He looked at the MRI & X-rays and said I had an impingement on my rotator cuff. He said he could go in and shave it down (basically a bone growth) and while he was there he would see what else he could see. He thought the impingement was causing the pain. Turns out once he got in there he found my labrum was torn so he repaired that while he was there.

Pain is gone now but I can't throw nearly as well as I used to. Playing long toss with my son is a chore. I can only go about 120--150 feet in the air now so I have to dribble the ball to him once he gets stretched out. It sucks...hahahaha

Bottom line, shoulder injuries suck. I don't recommend them.
