GMs and Commissioners who spread themselves thin (1 Viewer)

I started thinking about the Commissioners and GMs in the 2 leagues I play in and how many are now overlooking and/or playing in 10, 12 and in one case 20 something leagues. The fun-factor is starting to take a considerable dive as a result.

My main league was awesome at its inception 5 years ago, but since then our commish has progressively simplified the bylaws to free his time up for his other leagues. Less FA moves permitted, less penalties enforced... It's still a good league and Id hate to leave after investing 5 years into it, but its getting more stale every year as the commish joins more and more leagues.

My second league I joined last year. I wanted to put my research skills to the test by turning a bad dynasty team into a contender within a few years. I got an offer to join, looked over the bylaws (not close enough, unfortunately) and thought it looked good. It wasn't until after I paid the dues and rolled my sleeves up that I realized there was nothing I could do during the offseason. No FA moves, no trades, min roster enorced so not many drops permitted either. In season options are very limited as well. I had learned later on that the commish is overlooking a dozen or so leagues and has minimized and automated as much as he can to make it easier. New bylaws and improvements are often shot down for the same reason. Since I already sank a year into it and paid my 2012 fees, Ill stick around for another season or 2, but Im already looking forward to moving on.

Anyone else starting to see this problem in their leagues? Are you one of those guys who commission a lot of leagues, and if so, why so many?

It's hard enough for me to find a league set up the way I most enjoy playing in: flexible enough to allow a lot of ways to improve your team, but with enough restrictions to make you think your moves through and keep things challenging. But to find a main league on top of that where everyone is focused and not spread across 10 other leagues seems to be getting harder and harder to do.
