My cousin just had a C section at 25 weeks. Things aren't looking good for the baby. Not asking for thopras or anything. I think you all know that sometimes typing things out is therapeutic. She also lost her dad a year ago on Friday so this is especially hard for her. We had her kids over today and it's so tough to not just hug them and say it's going to be ok. But it's probably not going to be ok.

Apple prose of nothing, my 6yo just asked me to put Black Sabbath on his playlist. Whoever was cutting onions needs to really dial it back

Lanai. The labia of your house.
Interesting way to look at it.  I'm on board.

So, the majora are, like, the front porch?  ######## is obviously the doorbell.

You bike haters are hilarious
Oh, it's not the bikes.

Those are some pretty rough chuckles, man. :(

I’m really sorry.

I wish there was something I could do, but I can at least give you that terrible cover of Wonderwall your friend wants.

Getting a new TV delivered this morning. Got the notification yesterday that it would be delivered between 7-9am. Ok, a little early, but I'm up and ready by 7:15 or so usually anyway, so not a big deal and my wife can cover between 7:45 and 9.

So of course there's knocking at 6:30am this morning. WTF guys!? 7am was already pretty freaking early to deliver something. Showing up at 6:30!? Sheesh.

CPAP LOG N7 and N8:

I'm not too sure about this piece of crap!#@!

Pros - I fall right to sleep and sleep away.

Past 2 nights - wake up around 3am - try to fall back asleep -  don't - rip thing off face and go back to sleep

Best thing on Reddit today.

Thread about "the stupidest thing you have said/done during sex"   This guy's wife is awesome.

I was with my then girlfriend. At the moment of truth I shouted, at the top of my lungs, “I’M CUMMING INSIDE YOU SO HARD RIGHT NOW!!!”

She froze, her eyes wide ...And then she burst out laughing.

We’ve been married for over 20 years.

When the children aren’t around, she’ll randomly yell, at the top of her lungs, “I’M CUMMING INSIDE YOU SO HARD RIGHT NOW!!!”

Working from home the next 2 days because it’s going to be too cold to walk a few feet to and from the car

not quite summers off but I’ll take it

also wife and kids will be home so I may reconsider

Planning to brave the elements because I hate feeling hunched over my laptop at home. Dual monitors and full size keyboard at the office.

Then again it’s 50-50 I take one step outside in the AM and say #### it.

So there’s this https://www.bakersfield.com/news/frontier-high-teacher-filmed-pornographic-videos-sources-say/article_f9f5bec4-2405-11e9-8b09-73368a59e39b.html

That’s a HS we feed into.

Took me a day to finally confirm, from VERY reliable sources, that it is true.

She, with consent and encouragement from her husband (and sometimes participation), engaged in making amateur videos of her with gentlemen that she was not married to.  Said gentlemen are of the dusky persuasion which it seems she very much enjoys.  A lot.

quite attractive.

how were these videos "discovered"? (article verbiage is blocked out - something which her husband didn't do)

To clarify, what is meant by the videos are "bad." Is this in reference to subject matter or production quality? The article isn't clear on what the parent meant by their statement.

:lmao:

i just have to know where this sort of filth is available for these students parents to watch?? i mean, isn't this America? do you have a link to this filth so i can make sure no one i know sees it, too???

So....

The studio that laid me off a few months back has reached out about potentially rejoining them.  However, in the interim they've had a few more rounds of purges, and since I've kept tabs with people still on the ground there I pretty much know that they're in a pretty bad way.  They're applying band-aids to try and keep the ship afloat, sliding in small contracts where they can to buy 3-4 months on a shoestring budget with a skeleton crew, etc.  Morale is reportedly awful.  Management has apparently learned nothing, as the same old mistakes are being made that got them there in the first place.  The vindictive part of my brain thinks that, outside a handful of the on-the-ground types, no one there really deserves to have someone try to help save their ish.

That said, rent here is nuts, I haven't had any solid offers(or any offers, for that matter) yet and can't really see a way I can tell them no.  What little morality/pride I have left is making me hedge, since I would absolutely be continuing to look for a better scenario post-haste, and I wouldn't want to screw the friends I still have there that may feel the burn when it happened.  A small part of me also thinks it makes me look like I'm a dog that's willing to be kicked.

Buuut, "ya gotta eat", etc, etc.  I guess.

sorry man, tough situation.  I would take the work and continue to look.  And I don't think I would regret it.  You do what you need to do and keep plugging.

I agree with Binky and Floppo.  Do what you need to do to so you can pay your bills while you continue looking for a real long term opportunity.

Got an email this morning from a retailer I was browsing the other day. The subject was: "We think you would look good in these"

The email then linked to a bunch of underwear. I'm not sure whether to be flattered, creeped out, or both.

Take the work but slip in tiny pics of dongs into every piece.

Tomorrow is pizza day at work.  Every other Friday they bring in hundreds of pizza pies of various kinds and various toppings from various places in the neighborhood continuously for about 3 hours.  I love pizza day.
dang. how do they keep all those pizzas even reasonably warm? where the hell do you work that needs hundreds of pizzas at once?

I work at a big company so there's a lot of people who want free pizza, but it's not all at once.  it's over the course of about 3 hours.  Definitely over 100 pies in total, but I have noticed a pretty big variance in when people go to lunch.  I tend to start earlier so I prefer to eat by 1pm, if not a little earlier, but some of my co-workers don't eat until 2:30 (after our daily 2pm meeting).

People eat lunch at 2:30?
