Man, mirror life down here, brohan. I just made myself a bacon/lettuce/pepperoncini/may/Tillamook extra sharp white special reserve cheese sandwich on a hamburger bun. Now making playdo (sp?) cupcakes with Hazel and thinking about packing up some boxes later.

SLAP IT HIGH, BROTHER FISH!!!1111

May = mayo right?

I'm hanging curtain rods :excited:

Had a professor once named Kelly Mink. We used to call him the "Minkster". Actually true.

I like to walk to the local grocery store when we just need a few things. Most of the time it works great. Then there are days like today when it starts pouring rain in the middle of my walk home.

That referral thread reminded me that I received a check in the mail unexpectedly because Drifter bought a house using the realtor I'd recommended. Drifter, would love to take you and Mrs Drifter out sometime to use the $$$. Also, since I've used that realtor as a recommendation that I got from proninja, I'm assuming 'ninja is independently wealthy now?

And damn, yes, we need some ####### rain. It's been brutal. We also had to cancel our planned hike today as it was hitting 102 where we planned to hike.

Were you guys going east to hike?

This sucks. My wife is about to pop and she's miserable. Cranked the A/C this morning, which we almost never have to do. Been outside working on the new house and now I need a 2nd shower today. Some rain would be delightful.

Yes, we were staying in Skykomish and hiking between there and Leavenworth. It's 20 degrees cooler on this side of the Sound, so we stayed put.

Somehow the people who owned this house before did not see fit to mention it had central air, which is pretty unusual here (probably same where you are?) and a good selling point. We noticed after buying that there was a compressor, and WA-LA, we have A/C. Thank god.

Can't even imagine being pregnant in this weather. Or any weather.

I put the A/C in back in 2007. Enjoyed it all of one or two nights that summer. Then got divorced and moved out.

But I enjoy the HELL out of it now and will be installing A/C at the new house too. This summer is brutal and it's only June.

I am east of the Cascades and it's butt hot. Can't imagine what it feels like with Portlandia humidity thrown in.

Is AC a rare thing in the Pacific NW? No snark intended.

Oh, and this:

Happy Whatever Day, y'all
When I moved here in '96 and went apartment shopping, I was laughed at whenever I asked if they had A/C. You can survive without it as most summers are mild with an occasional heat wave thrown in. But every so often - like now - you encounter a nasty, hot, arid summer where A\C is a treat.

I bought this house in 2001 and didn't install A/C until 2007. I'll never go without it again.

I didn't live in a house that had AC until I was 25 or 26. We used oscillating fans my father "collected" from a dumpster at the US Capitol and rewired.

Are you letting the front lawn campers come in for cool down periods today? NYC has cooling centers for the homeless and elderly, same same, no?

#### this rain. You can have it.
:goodposting:

I think it has rained 16 out of the last 20 days here. #### this noise.
You guys ok?
oolEverything was flooding here which is kind of crazy since we live on high ground now.
I performed an outdoor wedding yesterday at 5pm. It was about 105F. It had rained for about 10 seconds an hour before. The heat and humidity was brutal. The groom was a chubby, little ginger. He was sweating like HJS at Build-a-Bear.

I hope you ended it with "Life sucks, enjoy your stupid marriage."
