Oh my god.....my family just got rocked by an awful, horrific tale of infidelity that came out of nowhere. Not me - this time, blessedly - but my poor sister-in-law is a mess. Triage here since 5pm yesterday. I'll detail this up Monday but throps and stuff for her, her kids, my in-laws et al appreciated.

Also, shout out to Flags for taking our boys last minute, no questions asked. About as good as you can get for an ex.
Ouch. Is this somehow connected to that Billy Madison website?
No, but ironic that this came to light on the same day. There was video and oh my god it just ruins me to think about it and what my wife's sister endured watching it. Her husband flew back to Michigan Friday. When he changed planes in Denver he saw on Facebook that his wife had a new friend. That friend? Husband of the gal my BIL was boning. Ugh. I'll type this all up tomorrow. Hate posting from a phone. SIL might stay here for a while. She's putting on a brave face for her kids but she is just ruined.
Video? He couldn't have been dumb enough to record himself with another woman, right? Although, I know of a guy that was a high school teacher whose wife found videos of him and a student on his school issued laptop. That level of stupidity and recklessness is beyond my comprehension.
The husband suspected the cheating and set up a sting; hidden camera in the back of a van. Hard to see anything, but the audio is crystal clear. That's what I was told. I have no interest in viewing this.Ugh.
A van? Like yours, or more of a rape wagon? They were boning in the van? Lolz!!####ty situation, but if they were ####### in a van, that's funny. Sorry for the kids and the SIL. hope it all turns out ok and can't wait for the full story!

I'm pretty sure they set up a surveillance van near the rendezvous location, not that it happened in a van. At least, that's the way it works in the movies.

I was drinking heavily at the time.

I just finished 18 holes of golf wit my BIL. On the 5th hole as we were standing on the tee box waiting for the old as #### twosome to play, i started getting waves of pain in my intestinal region. My options were to #### my pants, run into the highway and #### on the highway, or drop trou and #### on the teebox. I chose option 3. So all the people that play tomorrow are gonna wonder where the smell is coming from. Its coming from that pile right next to where your hitting your driver, skippy.

Everyone just waiting for GM to tell us the story?
Pretty sure I chunked it out already so no real need to go into great detail. I'm just floored as this is the absolute last guy I would have suspected of this. I spent 10 days with him and didn't have any inkling that something was amiss.

But anyhow, I came home from work on Friday and walked into a strange and intense setting in my house. Hushed tones, tears, shocked faces. I immediately thought "Oh crap, Malaise...what the hell did you do now?" and asked my wife if everything was okay. She said she and her sister needed to go for a walk and I looked at her, pleading with her to let me know what I did and she said "you didn't do anything"....phew.

So then I turn my attention to my 3 year old daughter, who has been a bit of a bully to her 4 year old cousin the last 10 days, looked up at my MIL and asked if something happened with the kids. She said no, looked me in the eye and I could see she was crying. She said she didn't know what to say so I ushered her upstairs. At this point, I have no idea...did a plane go down? Did somebody die? Is there a new illness? Did they find my weed or porn cache? What??????

She tells me that her daughter got a Friend Request from FB while they were at the park with the kids. The request was accompanied by a message from this stranger, a man telling her that he has been trying to contact her for days and needs her to get ahold of him immediately, before talking to her husband. So she accepts the request, and is met with the news that her husband and this guy's wife (they work together - actually, she works under him...not good) are having an affair. Furthermore, he sends her a video where she can hear her husband screwing this girl. In it, you can clearly hear him say "Dude, I'm going to come so F'n hard!". My MIL told me this. I cannot tell you all how uncomfortable that was. Ugh.

Meanwhile, my SIL is losing it, which is understandable. She doesn't know what to do. Her cheating husband is in the air on his way home and she can't reach him. She wants to throw her fist through his teeth. She wants to cancel their joint credit cards. She wants to pull all the money from their savings account. She wants retribution. And yet, she has two young kids who need their mom to put on a brave face. I felt so badly for her. I had my ex-wife pick our boys up so we could limit the collateral damage. The rest of the weekend was rough, but I have to hand it to my SIL...she DID put on a brave face and keep her kids out of the mess.

She flies back Tuesday. I told her she could stay as long as she liked. Her husband is a mess. I was fearful he might be suicidal. His parents went over there and didn't recognize him. He couldn't talk without crying. He's written an apology to the other guy and wants to do whatever it takes to save his marriage. I told my SIL that I've been there (as both the cheater and the cheatee in my first marriage) and know the emotions she is feeling. I hate this for them - for all of them. The whole family is a wreck. They are so close. I mean, really close. When one person is cut, they all bleed.

Anyhow, that was my weekend. Lost a fortune in the stock market, might not have a job by year end and only have 5 dependants in a bigger house that is still under remodel. Oh, and the mounting medical bills from our NICU stay are rolling in. Even after insurance, FML. Summer of 2015 can not so kindly go fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff itself.

Whose family does this?

If this happened in my family, I'd find out a couple months later once the separation papers have been filed and the BIL is living in his own apartment. And then, only because someone mentions off-hand that my SIL needs to borrow a ladder, because the BIL took theirs.

I know. It's nuts. They are....different. It's just that, nobody saw this coming. Not from this guy. Me? Yeah, I suck. Thankfully I'm a walking can of Vag-Off now. But this guy is like on a pedestal. He's treated like a son by my MIL/FIL. My wife thinks (or did) that he could do no wrong.

Guess the albino wino ain't so bad afterall.

We've had this discussion. Pittsburgh is NOT the midwest ;)

when my dad left my step mom (i was an adult, no biggy to me) for his secretary, during the entire episode from day 1, the step mom was poisoning the well with my step brother & sister who are 20 yrs younger than me and kids at the time. She would post the divorce proceeding letters on the fridge, or have them laying on the kitchen table and the few times i visited it was open talk in the house from her about how rotten their father was.

flash forward 20 yrs and dad dies suddenly of massive heart attack. Guess who's most ####ed up by it? yep, the kids because they never had a chance to close the wounds and now they carry them for the rest of their lives.

this sounds like a horrible situation for your SIL, and I hope she takes him for every penny, but I also hope for the childrens sake she keeps it on the down low.

I think they are going to try and make a go of it with counselling. But I don't know for sure.

similar thing happened in my best friends life, his sisters husband did the lets get drunk and screw anything that moves for a while and she caught him eventually. They have 3 boys, all grade school age. Initially she moved out and left the state, moved back to Oregon (they lived in Oklahoma), this was last summer. I talked to him recently and asked about his sister and he said husband moved over here and they're making a go of it. On the one hand I commend them, i'm a fan of marriage and nuclear families staying together, on the other i'm pretty shocked she would ever give a 2nd chance. I don't think i'd be able to do that if I were in her shoes.

Yes, we have. Yinzland is close enough to the midwest ... just sayin

That has always bothered me. Earlier in the tournament they take a point away from Johnny for a strike to the face. Then Daniel wins with a strike to the face? Seems fishy.
That's because it's a stupid movie.
Other stupid movies:

Your Face

Your Face 2: Return of The Face

Your Face 3: Your Face Takes Manhattan

Says the guy who thinks Oceans 11 is one of the best movies ever. Actually true.

Actually not true. Those goofballs asked me for a list of movies that I liked.

Yikes GM. It's gonna take some time for this mess to get straightened out. Having experienced something similarly (not me, but people I have been close to) it sucks, but the worst thing is people pretending it doesn't.

Sucks GM. Sorry to hear about all that bs.

I guess I'm just a cynical jack wad. I have learned that ANYONE can and will be unfaithful. To me, it's just another story of people being really really stupid. The kids make it much much worse, but it's the same old story.

any more van details?
