GM's Thread About Everything/GM's Thread About Nothing (6 Viewers)

Fogle Fallout is the name of my band.

"Fogle Fallout" also sounds like a sexual position, or something.  Like, when a super fat guy stands over you eating a double meat BMT while his choad slips out the holes in his jersey-knit boxer shorts, while requesting that you "eat fresh."(Science help you if you ask for "extra pickles").

Something like that.

My MIL was in a similar position. There were a couple of trips to the hospital that very well could have been her last. She is on oxygen now, and weighs next to nothing, but they seem to have got a handle on the fluid buildup, etc., and she is light years better than she was just a few months ago. Hope the docs can do the same for your mom.

edit: Oh, not dismissing all the work troubles that are floating around, but moms trump jobs. Hope everybody ends up Oktoberfest.
Thanks.  She was diagnosed with Scleroderma, which I knew nothing about a month ago.  Whatever it is, it's causing all sorts of hell now.  Some of me thinks it might be a mental state of depression too, but my sister said she was showing signs of pitted edema, which is no good.  Bah.  Let's all get bombed.

NEW YORK -- HBO's John Oliver designed a contest looking for "riffraff" to sit among the "rich" New York Yankees fans who occupy the expensive Legends seats. What the comedian got on Opening Day Tuesday were Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles -- or, at least, two fans dressed up like them.

The two turtles sat directly behind home plate in clear view on the national broadcast on ESPN and the local one on YES. The turtles -- identified as John Welch and Joe Spilo of Yorktown, according to Newsday -- won a contest from Oliver's "Last Week Tonight" in which fans were asked to use the Twitter hashtag #IHaveNeverSatInAPremiumLocation. In the contest, fans tweeted pictures of the "riffraff" attire they would wear in the premium seats.

Two fans will receive tickets for 25 cents for each of the first three games.

The protest prank was in response to the Yankees' recent squabble with StubHub.

During Tuesday's game, Yankees public relations and security denied media access to the Legends seats, so the turtles could not be asked questions. Newsday spoke to the two outside of the stadium before they entered.

Oliver's Sunday rant was mostly centered around Yankees COO Lonn Trost's comments on WFAN six weeks ago in which Trost said that premium seat holders do not like to sit next to people who "have never sat in a premium location." These seats have been listed for as much $1,595, which is one reason the Yankees did not want to make StubHub fully available to customers, Trost implied.

Trost made his comments after the Yankees were criticized for not allowing people to print out secondary market tickets bought on StubHub. The Yankees claim they did it to prevent fraud, while many of its fans found it a convenient way to buy cheaper last-minute tickets.

"Everyone is welcome at Yankee Stadium," Yankees president Randy Levine told ESPN's Wallace Matthews on Monday. "And I thank John Oliver for buying Yankees tickets."

Oliver's words during his show Sunday night were not as gracious, with the theme that the Yankees "will continue to find ways to look like the biggest elitist a--h---- in all of sports."

Quick question. Is it better to put soap and water into a pan while its warm, or to let it just sit there on the stove for like 3 days?

pro move:   heat the pan for like 10 minutes till its glowing red then dunk it in cold soapy water

all that crud will come right off

Add about 1/3pan of water and a few squirts of dish soap and bring to a boil...crud will pretty much slough off or come off with some minor scrubbing

caution:  too much water will boil over, too little will evaporate and leave more crud

Oh, and my mother's health is rapidly deteriorating to the point where she can barely walk.  Now hearing terms like Congestive Heart Failure being tossed around.
So sorry GB.

Thoughts and prayers your way

So I'm right. That's all I needed to hear.

In the comments section of almost every youtube video you post are fat guys wearing fedoras claiming to be from reddit making really stupid comments.  This is often followed by responses of people pleading with the reading public to understand these guys are really not from reddit.

We've discussed this before.

But that has nothing to do with the video itself, right?

It's not as if the YouTube comments section evern had anything interesting before this trend.  It's always been a dumping ground for the worst people in the world.

We were talking about Merle Haggard just the other day, then he dropped dead. Are we sure we don't want to discuss politics in here? Might be able to do the American people a solid.
