Sorry, sailing lessons at 9 followed by the Annual Top Hat and Monocle Gala to Benefit Autistic Cats.

I'm laughing way way WAY too hard at this elementary school comedy bit.
My cousin's son (very bright, but also very autistic) did a routine for his elementary school show.  The sheer volume of material he had memorized was amazing. He just plowed through about 30 jokes nonstop with no notes. It was a big hit.

Hey, do any of you "top hat and monocle" types in here want to subsidize a digital artist as a tax write off, or something?  Starting to think finding a "paramour" is probably going to be more expedient than convincing a studio I can actually, you know, do what I tell them I can do....even though I've got a bunch of actual proof/references/recommendations that I provide to them.

TL:DR - Job searches feel a lot like what I assume it feels like for a dog humping legs.

I watched "we are your friends" last night. It's about as good as a movie about zac ephron becoming a EPM DJ could be, but then they added Emily Raditoowski (the one homer likes) and that made it worth watching.

I was thinking that was one of my old scool porn favorites but that was We Live Together

Has anybody else watched Catastrophe on Amazon Prime Instant video?

We just watched Season 2 and I think it is the funniest thing on TV right now.

CHICAGO AND CHICAGO-FRIENDLY GMTANNERS:

My nephew is apparently seriously considering University of Chicago and doing a college visit trip there Memorial Day weekend.  I'm super-excited at this development and want to ensure they have a great time there.  Need some advise, please.

1. What are good things for a 16-year-old to do in Chicago?  I think I could figure out stuff for younger kids, or of course for adults, but I'm drawing a blank on what teenagers might find fun there.  Suggestions?

2. What's Hyde Park like these days?  I haven't been there is so long.  Specifically if there's anything fun I could steer them to there, that would be great.  What about U of Chicago?  Is it still considered sort of conservative in comparison to most well-regarded schools?

Many graciases.

Go to a Cubs game,  go to the top of the Sears Tower and look down,  check out the Mecantile Exchange,  go to the Art Institute and trip out on A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, hijack a float in the Von Steuben Day parade...

I think FBG Gatorman has a son that goes to U of C. Not sure if he's even around here anymore.

are things like museums boring for a 16yo? Museum of Science & Industry is obviously in Hyde Park so probably a good recommendation. Otherwise, probably touristy stuff like the Hancock building or Sears tower or Navy Pier, or maybe an architecture boat tour down the river (Robie House could be an option if they have any interest in Frank Lloyd Wright).

I'm not a good resource for Hyde Park or U of C. Beautiful campus, but I haven't been down there in years.

I wondered the same thing about museums/teenagers.  We did the Museum of Science & Industry when he was a kid and I was still living in Chicago, but I wasn't sure if it would be fun at his current age.  I love the architectural boat tour but also wasn't sure if a teenager would like that.  Do teenagers like anything??

Cubs are in town so I already asked if they'd like me to scare them up some tickets.  Sears/Hancock are good ideas, too.

Appreciate the advice from you guys so far.

Teenage boys like teenage girls,  sports, Internet,  video games,  video games on the Internet,  teenage girls,  quoting movies,  teenage girls on the Internet, hanging out with their friends, getting away with doing stupid ####, and getting away with doing stupid teenage girls on the Internet.

Unless you really know otherwise its best to assume they don't give two ####s about museums and architecture boats and naval history.

Wtf. Were any of you actually teenagers or did you just appear on the Internet one day already old like tanner?

Today she sent me I think ed need a new bed.  Is it wrong if I wrote back who the #### is ed you whore?

I think kids that go to U of C are probably pretty nerdy though.
