Funny thought - hot dead ex was the only time in my life I wasn't anxious in social situations.  Life lesson - be with someone who really likes you and isn't very smart.  It makes the stakes pretty low when you're out with them and worried you may upset others.

In all seriousness, I do think everyone in this thread is awesome.  I also have crippling anxiety and other issues that keep me from being willing to meet anyone from this board anywhere ever.  I've discussed vaguely over the years, but it's borderline autism spectrum how hard it is for me to be a person when I'm not lawying.  It's best for me to not be around normal people.

Played a Christmas trivia game with my students today since it is mostly a waste of a school day.  I ask questions and they answer on their iPads.

first off- heart-broken for you HF, even if you're likely with another pretty decent alive broad currently.

your post made me think of my one that got away/I was too cowardly to fight for... I didn't get to spend a ton of time with her, so when I wasn't with her I found myself questioning why my feelings about her would be so profound. but then I'd be with her, and my entire being would resonate affirmation. I was able to be completely myself and without my own anxieties and feel reciprocally loved. but I was a coward and our timing always sucked. I googled her recently- looks exactly the same, successful with fancy kids and a fancy successful husband. hopefully- in case she ever does the same-  that's how I look when googled... minus the husband part.

I was doing the same.  Looking around, it appears this place is going just as bananas as some of the others I visit frequently.
