Is this still the safe nest in the truth tree place to ##### about family?

So I have a now 7 week old and a 2.5 year old. There are some nasty viruses going around like RSV and a stomach bug. If the baby gets a fever over 100.4 or gets stomach flu w vomiting and diarrhea he will get admitted to the hospital, get an iv, and possible spinal tap per our pediatrician. The 2 year old had a high fever and threw up a few weeks ago and we had to quarantine them basically.

Fast forward to today.

If you had two kids in your house throwing up and your niece with a 7 week old and 2 year old were supposed to get pork from you; Would you be offended, get pissy, and hangup on your niece if she said to just keep it and we will pay you because we didn't want anybody going over there and bringing the pork and death here?  Or would you say ok and just put it in the freezer maybe?

2 weeks ago when the 2 year old had that fever and vomited and our dr was adamant that we keep him away from baby and wife,  I had to leave our senior leadership meeting an hour and half drive away because her mom felt it was more important for her to attend her xmas party. Then i had to take 2 more days off. So i had 3 weeks paternity, then those days, and now off for holiday. I cant take any more time to help here if people get real sick again and nobody is raising their hand to help. But #### us for not wanting kids vomiting or in the hospital, right?

roverkid got me an amazon echo dot for christmas.   other than getting the weather and controlling my music by voice commands, I still haven't really figured out how to make it useful, but I may end up hooking it up to my lights.   anyway, it makes it easy to just play whatever music pops into your head.  I've been listening to the Smiths for the last hour. what a great band.  earlier I was listening to the Damned.   worse than I remember.
####, i read this too fast and thought it said "it just plays whatever music pops into your head" :tinfoilhat:

This really angers me....

So people in my area are getting their cars broken into and stuff stolen. Okay, that sucks but it happens, right? Well, the majority of these "break-ins" are due to people leaving their doors unlocked. Okay, karma I guess. You're dumb enough to leave your door unlocked you shouldn't be shocked that in today's world, your stuff gets stolen. Okay. But....the part that angers me....is that DOZENS of loaded guns have been stolen from these unlocked cars. JFC. These "victims" deserve all of the following: severe monetary fines, a kick in the nuts (or boobs), and loss of their right to have a gun for at least a year.

:hottake:

Hope your kids get better.

Maybe they are lying and selling the guns.

We have been out of town for 5 days. There is almost no easy food to make lunches for the kids. My wife is taking them to Costco to grocery shop. The 6 year old said 'what about lunch?  We are hungry.'

'You can eat samples at Costco honey.'

haven't spent too much time with it yet.  But voice controlled spotify, asking stuff in the kitchen (like measurement conversions) and adding stuff to my grocery list is pretty convenient so far.

Do you need a spotify subscription to make it work with it - or can you use the free spotify and home wifi network?  My daughter is telling me it needs a subscription.

I'm just amazed that both you and the aunt have kids the exact same age.  Which ones are sick, I have no idea.

I just gave away a drinking bird  The Famous Drinking Bird https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000JSGLBK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_5ASzyb0WHX3NX
  • Drinking Bird. A rather dumb looking 6" bird with a felt covered head and has plastic feet. Worse, he cannot get his fill of water. You buy the drinks.
  • Fluid inside condenses from the evaporative cooling of the water off the bird's beak, making it top heavy and dunking it back into the water. The condensate rejoins the liquid pool in the bird's bulb, and he tips up again.
  • WARNING! The fluid and dye inside the bird can permanently stain, and the bird's glass body can easily be broken. Children are fascinated by the bobbing bird, and the educational possibilities are great. But they should watch it, not fondle it!!

:lmao:

I have a 3 gallon pot of chili (with beans!) going, plus a 6 quart crock pot of gumbo on slow cook. I have no guests coming over :bag:

Oh. They brought the pork over anyway.  A different aunt was there and dropped it off. This stomach bug has gone through two of my wife's relative's houses this week. But we are being "ridiculous."  The pork is really good though, so i am ok with it.

The perfect gift for every obese nuclear safety technician in need of someone to cover for them while they go get see "Honk if You're Horny." (and perhaps have a lemonade and a beer).

Incestual Pork is the name of my Nashville ##### cover band

Greater than 50% chance that pork butt is contaminated.  (That's right....I said it)

If your kids ends up sick and in the hospital, I would absolutely destroy the aunts. I would let them know that it was 100% their fault and that they would never be forgiven for it.

And if that's not good enough, get one of those $1.50 hotdog combos for them

this happens all the time in my neighborhood....and then people complain about crime

Don't get me wrong, I really do love The Smiths with all my heart, but things like this make me hate Morrissey with the heat of a thousand suns
Not nearly as annoying as Springsteen demanding that no alcohol be served at a venue at all the night of a show, and then showing up 2.5 hours late. Lot of angry sober people in Seattle for that one.  I'll never see that POS again.

Update: CQ and Mrs are amicably separated.

SonQ is being recruited by every high school around to play hockey.

Daughter Q has been accepted to tOSU and is awaiting decisions from USC, UCLA, Vanderbilt, and Columbia.  Also she's dating a 23 year old musician.

I drink. A lot.

Bye
