GM's Thread About Everything/GM's Thread About Nothing (15 Viewers)

I've convinced myself driving 20+ hours over 2-3 days with my wife and 2 kids of 7 and 4 is going to be great fun. LOL.
:lmao: :lmao:
We're gearing up for a 30+ drive next year with a 12 and 10 year old....please post your results so I know if I need to pack anything other than booze.
30 miles?
Fixed that...and hours. 30+ f'ing hours. Planning on breaking it up into 3 days but am a bit :scared: at the thought of it.

I drove the 24 hours from Chicago to Miami and back with a 4 and 2 year old a few years ago. I wanted to drive through the night but the wife wanted to actually sleep in a bed. This year it will be 32 hours of driving split into 4 days with 7/4/2 year olds. Ipad, portable DVD, coloring books, these little self contained video things my dad found at the library.. For snacks I think I am going to bring a box of the snack sized zip locks and will just randomly throw one full of cereal/crackers/goldfish into the back of the minivan and let them fight over them.

For me it will be my Ipod with the sound turned way up in my $1 dollar store earbuds, and then lots of booze at each stop.

I like this. Keep them thinking of each other as the enemy so they can't gang up on the parents.

You could Skype Utah for practically nothing.
I guess that's not good enough. Plus, can't really Skype a Salt Lake Bees game.
Maybe watch the first place Twins instead?
We're going to have fun and play the license plate game and sing songs and see flat prairies and stuff. Can't put a price on that.
If it involves driving across North Dakota I agree that you can't put a price on it, as in you couldn't pay me enough to do it again.

I jumped 8.6 feet in a standing broad jump at the science center. Had to show those 3rd graders what was up!

I may have torn my right patellar tendon.

I see a ton of new construction going on in my neighborhood. I feel like I should be able to go somewhere online and see what's being built. Is that a thing?

I know one of the buildings is going to be a Wawa - so pretty psyched for that.
