Last Thursday, thousands of people lined up overnight to receive vouchers for the Section 8 Rental Assistance Program through the Dallas County Department of Health and Human Services, which provides rental assistance to low-income households. DISD and Dallas County Security were in charge of controlling and organizing the event, but chaos broke out when hundreds of people began to rush the line. During this, at least eight people were injured. According to Cooper, though, this mayhem was not due to the lack of organization by the local government or police force, but because of the uncivilized nature of the crowd (more specifically African Americans). This is awkward.

I spent the night at my fiancé's place, which she shares with a housemate. This morning I go downstairs to use the guest bathroom (which is next to the kitchen) so that my fiancé can use the upstairs bathroom to get ready.

5 minutes into my poo session I hear the housemate come down and start cooking breakfast. As I'm typing this, I can hear the skillet sizzling and I smell eggs and bacon cooking. She doesn't know I'm in here. But now I'm afraid to leave the bathroom cuz I fear my toilet stench will overwhelm the breakfast aroma. I'm also afraid to even flush the toilet cuz I've been sitting here longer than she's been cooking an entire breakfast.

I've decided to wait her out, and hope my fiancé doesn't come down looking for me.

My legs are getting numb and its really hot and stinky in here. If the housemate decides to do all the dishes before heading up to her room with her food, I might actually die in here.
