only thing worth than people who brag about their yetis is the "if you need to spend $30 on something to keep your beer cold, your not drinking it fast enough" crowd

Yeah, koozies are for posers and women.   They're real popular here because of the summer heat.  I was at my sister's house the other day and she offered me one.  I told her no thanks since I'd rather drink out of a cup/glass.  She said "so you don't drink out of the bottle".

I told her "do I look like a farmer?"
LOL

Hey I don't care how long it keeps my beer cold, how cold it keeps my beer, or who ejaculated in it...I'm not paying $30 for a cup.

Coworker just walked by wearing a shirt with a huge yellow polo logo like this.  When did wearing a big yellow horse on a shirt become a thing?

Seriously.  I mean, I have a Yeti, but of course I never use it.  I live in an effing desert, and I can't imagine a beer getting hot before it's been consumed.

I didn't even know wtf a Yeti was until the products you believe in thread.
Googling around and supposedly these things keep drinks cold for up to 50 - fifty! - hours?  I mean, we make fun of those using a koozie, and rightly so, but who is making a happy hour drink on Friday that they are hoping to finish before going to bed Sunday?

My friend has a soft-sided yeti cooler on his boat.  We left some beer on ice in there and it still had ice 5 days later.

Still wouldn't buy a $30 beer coozie.

A few days ago the 16-year-old son of a close friend summited Mt Kilimanjaro.  Pretty damn cool, and I've been really excited for Ethan's adventure and that he did it as a charitable fundraising trip.

This morning, a friend of mine died trying to summit Kilimanjaro.  Not related to my other friend's son's climb, just a coincidence.  It's had me shaken up all day, as Gugu and his wife are the most fit, active, and happy people I know.  They're famous in South Africa as the "The Adventure Couple" and added an Adventure Baby a year ago.

Just now I got off the phone from learning that there was a shooting yesterday, killing two at a medical facility I've been working with on a deal for over two years.

The world confuses and depresses me sometimes.  No TPW necessary for my friend's death.  I'm just trying to make sense of things that aren't sensible, by typing this out.

it happens sometimes that you pass out on friday night and when you wake up the next morning you feel great shame for having left a 3/4 full can of High Life on the nightstand.  now instead of throwing that one away and cracking a fresh one.. you can just finish off last nights and it's cold.  win/win

While I respect that, you have my most positive-est (GM: help on this one?) thoughts running your direction anyway because you're my friend.
