My hotel doesn't have Fox Sports 1. No problem says Abe.  I'll go get on the treadmill and listen online. But I have to download an app. Doh!  And for some reason I can't download a FREE app without an updated payment method on file. And since I'm on the treadmill I don't have my wallet. Double doh!  I'll just listen on the KVET website. But it's powered by iHeartRadio which is the most poorly built web application this side of ESPN.com.  And so of course the link to "listen now" doesn't work. Grrr

Had this problem with the Ducks vs Colorado. Very frustrating. PAC12 network is to blame.  Bloody awful.  Turn on am radio; game on.  Go to listen to radio station online livestream; not the game.  The hell?

Also KVET doesn't carry the Longhorns any more. But, nice try.

 
Today we took the boys to a "pumpkin patch" kind of place today out in the country. Which where we are now, isn't all that far. Anyhoo, Dad came along, Mom was "sick" again, as usual, but we had a great time.

I had a brisket on the BGE, Mrs. SLB made some great squash and fresh pasta.  After Dad left I smoked some stuff. I then found myself in a conversation with my oldest. He asked me why I, we, sold the business. I put Cats in the Cradle on the youtubes and told him that I wanted to spend more time with the him, his brother and mother. I was delinquent for too many years. As much as he admires me, I don't want him to be like me.  Cal looks me in the eyes and says "you remember how I never saw you but would wake up in the middle of the night to give you a hug and kiss?"  I replied "of course". He says " you smell exactly right that right now". In my head I was :oldunsure: but looking straight back asked him what smell it was. He kind of nods and says "hard work".

I talked to my friend who is filming a tv show in another country. We only get to chat once a week for 5 minutes.   I feel better.  And drinking. 

 
Wife's taking a 7 day trip to Kansas in November, so I told her I wanted to go to LA for 4-5 days this month. Other than the podcast festival in Anaheim, is anything I'd be interested in?

 
I like Christmas music, but not til after Thanksgiving and when I can control it. I was in Rite Aid last weekend, going through their assortment of cheeses, and they had their Christmas aisle set up already

Well yeah, convicted? No, never convicted.

Of course *great match up* against the current crop of candidates.  I have the delusion and self grandeur of Trump. I can spin stories like Clinton and have slightly more knowledge of foreign policy than Johnson.

I rent a lot. Never take their insurance. I just call my guy at State Farm, tell him I'm renting and he puts a rider on my ins. to cover me.

Book your car through Costco and use a credit card that covers you. Or check with your agent, your auto insurance may cover you

 
Saw "girl on the train". Pretty good.  Not as good as the scenery at Sonoma rooftop wine garden in Santa Monica during brunch right before the movie.  But still pretty good.
