GM's Thread About Everything/GM's Thread About Nothing (24 Viewers)

Well yeah, convicted? No, never convicted.

Of course *great match up* against the current crop of candidates.  I have the delusion and self grandeur of Trump. I can spin stories like Clinton and have slightly more knowledge of foreign policy than Johnson.
I'd vote for you GB.

Called my insurance and I'm covered. Jerk assets aren't getting my cold hard cash for insurance. Also, instead of packing I've got a stiff bacardi and diet going down. What do I need for Fl? Like 3 t shirts and swimming trunks right?

Funny you say that. Have jorts, Hawaiian shirt, fanny pack, etc.  ready to go to embarrasss my family when we head to the beach.

In general your personal auto insurance will cover your rental with the same coverage (i.e. if you have "full coverage" on your personal rig you also will have it on your rental).  However, if you refuse Hertz's insurance and have a claim, it will count as an adverse claim on your personal policy.  If you would like the ability to beat the #### out of your rental and return it scotch-free, you should take Hertz's insurance.  :grad:

If there is freaking scotch in my rental when I pick it up, you can be gaddam sure Hertz is getting it back without it.

Unless it's some kind of blended swill, of course.  Then #### that noise.

You're paying to watch this?
Kind of no. You have to buy a $5 voucher that you can immediately redeem toward food or booze.

It was great for the optics and presentation and it was fun being in a packed theater and the synergy, watching it together. Only one drunk (I hope) Trump diehard continually interrupting by shouting over the screen some sort of ill-defined and not even remotely coherent screed alluding to some Clinton history more insidious than the fake moon landing. All other reaction was pro-Hillary, but with nowhere near the passion of the insane guy.

Scholz Beer Garden had great synergy but the a/v was far, far inferior to the theater (shocking)

No dnc debate party this time?
Last time was less than optimal for me, since my goal was to see and hear the debate. And last time I got there an hour early and was lucky to get a really ####ty table. Assigned seating was appealing to me. I did miss the unified Democratic crowd as a chorus to my own perceptions. I wanted to go to the Slaughter Drafthouse, but its awfully red in that neighborhood and I certainly didn't want to be in the middle of a bunch of vocal Trump supporters, so I went to the demographically safer Drafthouse South Lamar.

Taxes aren't due for five more days (with the automatic extension) and I'll be submitting tomorrow. Pretty expeditious for me. God I hate hate hate doing taxes. I really don't mind doing my fair share, I just hate the associated retrieving all the supporting docs and the math. After the conference call with the accountant, I may have cause for a fully justified day drunk

####!

is the internet down in the rest of the country? First stage of the apocalypse? Only my area is still unaffected because God and the aliens figure they can wait awhile before annihilating around here?

We need to disperse a few solar powered shortwave radios among key mebers here to maintain vital GMTAN communications during the end of times. Have we discussed yet who we are going to descend upon to maximize chances of survival? I'm assuming Krista, unless it a West Coast earthquake. What's Plan B?

Wait, what now?

Our Bears need to lose out the rest of the season.  That way we can blow our 1.01 pick on some ### clown.
Pretty sure that the best the Bears can do is the 2nd pick in the draft. That 1 win probably is enough to lose the #1 pick to the Browns.

Your house is the rendezvous point for GMTAN survivors of the apocalypse, though presumably GM is in charge of repopulation. Please maintain reserves of naan and booze.
Wait, which house?  Also isn't a rendezvous point supposed to remain consistent?  I feel like we will need contingency plans like every 3 weeks if the answer is 'Kristas current house'.

So all my 36/32 pants now look like MC hammer parachute pants once I cinch the belt tight enough to keep them up. So of course I go out and buy 3 pair of 34/32 jeans 3 weeks ago.

Yeah, parachute part 2. I'm afraid to buy 32s because, you know, money and also what if I get fat-ish again?

Sorry for your loss.

No pick, ever, will be as bad as this the Big Red taking Steve Little, a kicker, in the  first round back in 78.

I've shared the good and bad here is regards to, well everything, but in particular our boys.  We had a meeting this morning with Cal's teachers and were told he his IQ and processing skills are in the "superior" range.  I can't tell you how proud I am.  Compared to Dylan, he's like 3 kids in one.  Man,  A LOT of work.  Guess now we know why.  #HuMbLeBrAg

In other news:  your old mailman just earned his second PhD.

It took me all of one story from "The Grizz" to unsubscribe from the thread.  Maybe I should give it more of a chance, but he has the strong odor of early-day Woz (and pee).

(No offense to Woz, whom I like.)

:hifive:   Nice, me too GB.  Actually bought some 32s because I was swimming in my 34's.  Haven't been this skinny since HS.
