Seattle people, need a restaurant suggestion.  Have a friend coming in town who's staying at the Sheraton on 6th and need to find a place to take him for dinner/drinks, preferably somewhere near there.  He is not an adventurous eater.  We'll sit at the bar so a place with a good bar with decent food, relaxed atmosphere (I guess that's every place in Seattle), etc.

fish, what's the place I went one time that your buddy owns?  I know it would be helpful for me to be more specific, but I can't offer much more.   Short name, might have started with an "L" or a "H".  Just name places where you have buddies who own them.

I could also be wrong about the short name.  Could also be wrong about your buddies owning a place at all and might be mixing you up with someone else, or mixing Seattle up with another city.

Yeah, that's not me.  Short name beginning with L near the Sheraton could be Loulay.

Sullivan's has a good bar, decent food, and is a block from the Sheraton.

No, I have no idea if it was near the Sheraton.  Nor that there was an "L" involved.  What places does your buddy own?  I can picture the damn place I"m talking about, but nothing else about it (location, name).  Had drinks there once.  Maybe a charcuterie, too.

Quinn's and Restaurant Zoe.  Zoe is no longer open to the public...they do private events and catering only.

 
so the bottom is dropping out of McDonald's

should be interesting to see what replaces it and what happens to the approximately 11 million franchise locations around the country

Baconzilla probably the best fast food* burger available, assuming you get it sans ketchup 

*lets say the restaurant would typically have a drive through to qualify, unless it's in a mall food court or something.  So McDonald's yes, 5 guys no

 
My New Year's resolution was to not eat at McDonald's this year.  Didn't realize how much I was a part of their budget.  Apologies, Ronald.
