GM's Thread About Everything/GM's Thread About Nothing (16 Viewers)

I bought cigarettes in Mexico and they don't play with their warnings. "You will die if you smoke" stamped straight on the pack.

My apologies, @mr roboto, I'm afraid I just got angry and posted a few of the previous times you've mentioned your dad getting sick and dying when you were young in that thread out of anger at MOP.  I'll stop.

No worries man.   As I've said before I'm totally beyond it.  But it truly warms my heart that you felt righteous anger enough to use this abomination of a search function and somehow managed to find them!  You are a good man.

My previous firm is trying to screw me out of somewhere around $50,000 that I was expecting to be paid by year end.   I've had to hire a lawyer, and will most likely end up suing them (only there's no attorney's fees provision, so every dollar I spend on an attorney essentially reduces my net).

Don't start jerking me off over it or anything.  I used google site search.

Snowmageddon 2016, the sequel has arrived in Portland. Mayhem abounds
My colleagues in Salem left early, schools there closed 2 hours early.  The only gal left in that office said they have 1/10" of snow.  We are at 10" and I'm still at work. :lmao:

 (Schools did close, though.)

Cheapest solution is to fly in MOP and Furley's coworker, and lock your former employers in the conference room with them. They'll offer you $60K in minutes.

If that lasts longer than four hours, call a doctor.

It seems like maybe your previous agreement should have been reviewed by a lawyer.

Office wants to change me from consultant to employee... Claims they were audited and accountant concerned. This would be a killer for me tax-wise, likely making it impossible to continue without additional income or having to move to the boonies. Sucks.depressed.
how long have you been consulting there?  they could be worried about co-employment

22 year old disappeared for a couple weeks.  Got a call last night that she was flying to California to check into rehab, and will be gone indefinitely.

Hazards of dating someone almost in Homer's wheelhouse.

French whore pinch hitting for a formal cocktail party tomorrow.  Date with a new chick that I met on my boat over the summer and just got around to asking out on Friday.

we move on.

Weird, judging by that photo we all saw I could have sworn she was a Mormon librarian.

On Skype?  Not sure that'd have the same punch in reality as it does in your imagination.

I'm open to the idea though.  Just not sure I can get my hands on a deck in the next 10 hours.
You got Prime Now where you live?  You could have one at your door in two hours.

You mean when you did a dry run at a restaurant alone to allow you to effectively use it as a client entertainment venue and then test-marketed a fringe entertainment business for a potential future investment opportunity and/or reviewed their business model to set your own business plan for a future market-competing venture?

Edit: Sadly, this one won't work unless you make a profit pimping this year, I don't think.
:lmao:

As if anyone ever lost money pimping.

Reasons I'm bound for hell, no. 19,357:  when she said she was going to rehab, my first thought was "thank god I don't have to shop for a Christmas present now."

In the morning, I'm headed to a gym at the state high school for the deaf to shoot one line of a TV commercial for a minor league basketball team that will air on a regional cable network. I'm kind of a big deal.

Do you actually say the line or just mouth it?

Ah, just figured that might help, but I guess it didn't.

Why do these people take out so many aliases? Seems like your body of work would suffice, unless you have a problem with yourself.
Sometimes it's necessary.  Sometimes it's just a matter of which one you logged on with from a particular device.  Imp is pretty easy to spot.  I haven't seen him in a while.  If he's around, I expect he'll message me.

Took me three tries and over a month but I finally finished Force Awakens. Glad I didn't pay to see this.  Wasn't as bad as the drek that came out in 2000 but it wasn't good either.  Can pass on the follow ups.  Daisy Ridley could totally get it, though.
