GM's Thread About Everything/GM's Thread About Nothing (8 Viewers)

I grew up in southern Illinois.  Not screw your cousin southern Illinois, but far enough south.  Maybe second cousin.  Can confirm it sucks out loud.

I played poker every day against a coworker for 3 years and I still have no idea what this means.  I need a translator for poker jargon.
It means i bet hundreds of dollars on a literally 99 to 1 favorite and lost, then lost on a 2 to 1 favorite, then lost a few hundred more on a 99 to 1 favorite, leaving me down a grand instead of up a few grand on the night

Buddy and I were watching Iowa State/Kansas last night and wondering aloud if Iowa State was the worst Big12 school to go to.  I countered with Baylor, but at least Waco is close enough to Dallas and Austin to provide escape.  I mentioned a friend from the internet who did a tour of duty there and had nothing nice to say about Ames, Iowa.  Can't imagine Kansas State is a garden oasis either.
Well, it's in Kansas.

I've only been to Wichita, which is like a slightly larger, less interesting Des Moines.

I'm watching Fantastic Mr Fox with my boys right now. I like this one. I like a lot of his movies actually
Of course. Because they're always visually interesting, even if they're someone's a complete mess. At least, that's my take. Big fan of Mr Fox.

Pretty much.

I like most of Anderson's films.  Rushmore is a top 3 movie on my personal list.  Moonrise was pretty great too.  Really enjoyed Mr. Fox and Bottle Rocket.

He swings and misses too(Life Acquatic, Darjeeling, et al), but more often than not his movies are watchable.

I have a soft spot for life acquatic, but that's a shining example of being a complete mess.

OK, oooookaaay.  Joke's over.  You guys got together behind my back and came up with a plan to #### with me, right?  Praising Wes Anderson and dissing the Pixies on the same day?

1-4000?!?!  Thats it??
When the infamous (and probably psychopathic) buccaneer L'olonnais was finally killed and captured by the Indians of Darien they tore him to pieces while still alive.  Then they burned his body, piece by piece, on a roaring fire.  Then they scattered his ashes to the four winds in fear that his earthly body might somehow reassemble and continue his reign of terror.

I instructed my doctor to do the same thing with my vas deferens.

I know poker is dead and I don't tell bad beat stories, but last night in hold em, in one orbit, i flopped a set and lost to top pair, top kicker catching runner runner spades for the nut flush, flopped a straight and flush draw and lost all in to a guy with an underpair, then flopped another set and got all in on the flop against a guy with ace ten on a ten eight deuce board when the turn and river were both aces. What. The. ####.
So actually you do tell bad beat stories.

No method of birth control is 100% effective.

The odds of having triplets is 1-1000

Food for thought the next time you want to pork your wife.  Enjoy.
:lmao:
