More first world problems:  picked up my kid from the yacht and the guy asks if I can meet him later today because he needs someone to drive his other boat out to meet him.  "I have too many boats."
Ugh.  Too many boats is the worst.

With as many problems as you had with yours earlier this spring, some would say that you suffer from the same problem.

Making it tonight and serving it on croissants (fancy).  I use dill and tarragon to make it extra tasty.

What did you put in the chicken salad?

My go-to is sun-dried tomatoes, garlic powder, finely minced shallot, chives, and cashews.  Mix it up between blending the chicken smooth and having it diced small pieces.  Love that stuff.

ETA:  also cutting the mayo with some sour cream.
Celery, dill pickles, shallots, mayo, Dijon, siracha, tarragon, smoked paprika, other seasonings and sour cream.  Was a little tipsy making it with the leftover grilled chicken from Friday.  Frigging greatness!

I had some phenomenal egg salad today.  Hit the spot perfectly.

Since we're sharing our days...man, this has been a great one.  I begged off meeting my hot, often-naked friend Charity for a hike because she wanted me to pick her up way up north at 4:30 a.m.  Instead I did a solo hike to Lake Serene and really rocked it.  When I hike alone I keep a little plus-minus score in my head - one point for every person I overtake on the way up and minus one for each person who passed me instead.  Today I had no minuses and felt fantastic.  The lake is one of my favorites (a couple of pics on Facebook), and I had it mostly to myself since I got an early start to avoid the 90-degree heat later in the day.

Then I stopped at Sultan Bakery, which Seattle folks will testify is amazing.  Picked up the previously referenced egg salad for myself and a dozen donuts for my hot, often-naked friend Charity's kids and went over to her house, where we sat in her bed and snuggled her new bunny rabbit before she gave me some sun tea and we went for a walk in some tidal wetlands near her house.  She picked a couple of wild roses and gave them to me - they smell soooo good.

I came home and worked for a while, which sounds like a downer but was because I wanted to free my day up to do a harder hike and go to see two (2) movies at the SIFF tomorrow.  Then I ate leftover pizza and started catching up on the GMTAN.

I really needed this day.

So neighborhood kids decided that my neighbor and I needed a new mailbox early this morning and let me know in a rather aggressive way.  Good times.

Found out in the last couple weeks that my mom's cancer isn't contained in her uterus, when they did a hysterectomy they found cancer cells in lymph nodes too. So she finds out on Thursday what treatment is going to look like, and she's not looking forward to chemo.

Also found out that my mother in law's issues stem from bone marrow cancer. She finds out in a similar timeframe what her treatment looks like.

This is on top of my FIL having 3-5 years with stage 4 prostate cancer.

#### cancer.
Good Lord.  :(

Thropawishes to a all of your parents and parents-in-law.

####.

I know it's as dire as having too many boats, but all my thoughts to you and your family pn.

Definitely #### cancer.

Can't believe people would be bored at an MLB game.  Who doesn't want to watch a pitcher that just threw 40 pitches in the bullpen throw 8 more on the mound?  What kind of person doesn't want to watch 11 throws to first base because a guy is 5 feet off first base?  And don't get me started on folks who aren't interested in seeing 17 foul balls from a dude who can't break .230.
Good rip. Got a piece of it.

Holy crap.  I know we'd talked about this on our hike, but I'm so sorry it's taken a worse turn.

Speaking of hikes, I just got back down from climbing Mount Si this morning.  When things turn to ####e, the mountains can provide some comfort, or at least a distraction.  Let me know if you want to get out again sometime.

Hey, what's the protocol on this forum for telling people you've been arguing about basketball vehemently for hours that you haven't actually watched an NBA game since the Tim Donaghy scandal ten years ago?  Like, if you've been really going after people about their opinions on current players?

Still watch college. But I just can't deal with the NBA anymore.
