K4

Go to Spring Green.  It’s beautiful that time of year and visit yard sale on the...errrr....House on the Rock.  Or drop some serious cash and go to Tailesin.

While we're on Wisconsin chat...

My trip to San Antonio in November with my fundamentalist Christian, non-drinking stepmother was such a big success that we're going to meet somewhere every year.  Actually actually true - we had a fantastic time.  I found out that, despite living her entire life in Indiana, one of the only two states she has never visited is Wisconsin.  I suggested we meet for a Brewers game, because she's one of the two biggest baseball fans I know.  So I'm heading to Milwaukee in June for a game, but would love any other suggestions for stuff to do.  I told her all I know is that there is a great art museum and a statue of The Fonz.  Also any great places to stay, or at least which area to stay in?

Thanks!
Check out Holy Hill. Sounds like it would be right up her alley.

There is also a Holy Hill segment of the Ice Age trail that is an easy hike which gives different views of the church buildings.

Thanks for this.  @Osaurus, thanks for yours, too.  I love Frank Lloyd Wright stuff.  All of these are great recommendations.

Who is the other one?

Went to the Auto Show today (for about 2 hours :ninja: )

I'm so glad I don't have to be one of those nerds who has to go around taking pictures of all these cars so they can benchmark the gap between tailgates or something like that

I just wandered around aimlessly, got myself a Polish sausage and went home

My company did have a hospitality booth there but with me leaving it was suggested that I not come by.  I just walked by and gave an awkward wave

I missed the "with me leaving" part ...what's up with the job - where you headed?

awesome!  Are you still parking cars?

jk ...congrats man.
Lol, remind me of when I was a Porter for a summer before my first year in college.  Normally would go gas up and wash new cars, things like that.

One day there was somebody coming to pick up a new Cherokee and it was a bit dirty so they asked me to give a quick wash.  For whatever reason I'm rushing and misjudged when pulling into out wash Bay (double doors with a big pillar in the middle) and just crushed the fender against the pillar.  Salesman was pretty pissed  I reported to the owners son and he liked me quite a bit so he told me to grab some lunch and clear my head and he'd make sure it got taken care of.  Best part is I quit like 2 weeks later

PronHub traffic stats shows that the threat of nuclear holocaust dramatically lesses the urge to masturbate.

And then the relief of not being in a nuclear holocaust drives a large masturbatory release.

Stats.

ETA:  We probably knew this ...just intuitively.  But it's comforting to see the numbers back it up.

This Jim Beam Vanilla is pretty good. :scared:
Yeah, I can't go into the bourbon thread with any real seriousness.  I like to hammer VO or Seagrams 7 (both pretty vanilla-y) and Diet Coke - so my bourbon palette is not real sophisticated.

Also love Capt. Morgans - but it upsets my sugars.

Big weekend for 10yo floppinho.

I think I mentioned, but NYC public schools make you apply to Middle School (have fun next year, Sammy). It's a nutty process, and includes some highly specialized schools that focus on a variety of things like ballet, art & design, and performing arts (think FAME!, but for middle school). #1 son had the latter- Professional Performing Arts School- as one of his top choices. Had to audition with over 2,000 kids a while back and was one of 100 kids to get a call back this weekend for 30 spots.

this weekend also includes a call back for a Rosie's Kids theater in the schools summer program scholarship (also one of a handful of kids from across the NYC public schools to be invited).

this weekend also includes shows on each day for his School of Rock outfit- this term doing Zeppelin (drums and singing for him).

this weekend also includes lots of drinking by me.

tl;dr- floppo makes dad proud even if he's a nitwit. plus drinking.

Yeah that thread sucks
Oh no - I wish I had more appreciation for the finer points of whiskey, bourbon, wine ...I tend to be more a "drink for effect" guy.

My comment had everything to do with my shortcomings than knocking the thread.

Looking at Trump and that crazy Korean guy is probably what ruins the mood.

I’m on a flight to ATL, and the guy next to me just got up for the fourth(!) time, and when he did he ripped my headphones in two (the side with the plug ripped all the way out of center switch thingie).  Busted beyond repair.  I finally treated myself about a year ago to these things after always thinking they were too splurge-y, and I love them.

The guy didn’t see he did it.  I’m impossibly sad but don’t see anything good that can come from telling him, though.

That sounds beyond awful. I hope he crushes it. What do these schools cost?
