Hey @kevzilla.  When in May are you looking to go to Vegas?  Mrs. O is gonna be in Milwaukee over a long weekend most likely and I was planning on going out there to visit my sister.

May 10-15. Airfare (miles) and last two nights (comped) are booked. Since my total outlay at this point is $41, I'm trying to talk myself into a baller suite for the first three nights.

Flights look pretty cheap from here that weekend.  I’ll let you know.

ETA:  5/10-5/14 work for me.  Even a concert I want to go to on 5/11.  I am tentatively in that weekend.   :thumbup:

guess again.  I need to start a My Wife Broke ___________ Today thread

despite it being 3 years old they are actually going to send me free replacement parts and it looks like I may be able to Band-Aid the current one until the replacement arrives in 5-7 days

I run one at work that has 25 squares, every square get two sets of numbers. If you can get 25 filled, that's an option.

Bipolar girl fell off the wagon again. In the ER again. Cleaned the booze out of her closet again. May have to stop doing this.  :kicksrock:

Jones Beach show in the 80s ... he arrived in a ship that looked like it was pulled straight from the Spanish Armada ... believe a few cannons went off, along with a Blunderbuss or two, for good measure.  my recollection of the actual concert is a tad cloudy, due to some blow and a ton of Jameson ... or a ton of blow and some Jameson, whichever works  :shrug:    but that ####### entrance was worth the price of admission.  

oh, and the hottest collection of female fans i have ever seen for a concert.

It was an interesting mix of folks there last night for sure.

 
I dropped a "wa-la" in a different thread; reactions indicate it may not have been recognized as shtick.

Was that just in this thread? I assumed it was known throughout the FFA like "teh" and "tomarrow".

lots of times i get "is it cold/warm out today?"

well, the door is right there. you could open it and feel for yourself like i might.. or check your phone/laptop/tv like i might.

 
locked out of a crucial internal company website today. password is locked. wasn't due to be reset for a couple more days according to the email i got yesterday but apparently decided to speed up the process without warning.

no big deal. just go ahead and reset it using the self-serve reset...... and it doesn't work. 

i can just answer these security questions... i know my mom's maiden name.. and my grandmother's middle name... and it doesn't work.

ok, i'll just call this employee helpline.... buuuuuut they aren't trained to reset passwords.  sure, sir, i will open a ticket by sending an email to some other support group.

annnnnd the other support group sent me a canned response with direction to self-serve or call the employee support line. already a dead end.

call back to the original line, pick a different option, the lovely support rep directs me, through a terrible phone connection, to try everything i've already done... and when i tell her i've already tried those options 5 times says "well, i'll open this ticket for you (with the original support line i first tried).. here's a website to track progress... you just need your ID and password to login"

I'M LOCKED OUT OF THAT SITE, HONEY. THAT'S WHY WE ARE TALKING RIGHT NOW.

Sounds like you work for a company I used to work at.  Very familiar story.  If you are in the NYC office, go to IT on the 23rd floor and hopefully they can get to it this week.
