His unofficial motto has been "I want you to put my meat in your mouth"

I think there's going to be T-shirts in the works once he's up and running.
well, he's gonna have to print a few thousand for that first run

at least 50% of high school & college guys in the Milwaukee are buying that thing

Advice noted.

Mystery Kringle of the day was...orange dreamsicle.  I sorta messed up; this was ungood.  Tomorrow I'll get cherry or pecan.

Looks like Mr. Pack wants the brat in the sausage race.  Who you got?   I'll take the Polish since I like his shirt.  I don't like that the Italian sausage wears a chef's uniform - seems possibly cannabilistic.  What is he cooking???

Very cool about your friend's sausage joint!  I remember his sausage was fantastic. :oldunsure:  There was one that lost some snap in the casings maybe due to getting them to me, but the flavors were fab.  Congrats to him.
How is Becca doing?

I thought the FBI closed them down years ago?  Anyway, the firm I was working for is much bigger than a little firm based in Memphis.
I'd like to say I'm also very happy for you with the new job. and any potential sausage or wilford brimley interactions.

This is still America, right? I'll take the hot dog
Well haha, you'd be wrong, because the hot dog lost.

So did the brat and the Polish, though.  Stupid cannabilistic Italian sausage. :kicksrock:   Chorizo took a header, though, which was fun.

Mystery Kringle is what I'm calling my Pickup Artist themed Christmas party present swap.
This was brilliant.

How is Becca doing?
 I owe you a message!

Going to see her Monday night.  Our outing a few weeks ago was good and she seemed to be progressing well, though the mental/emotional part is still a struggle.  On the plus side, she did a 13-mile hike/walk (probably more the latter) a week or so ago.  On the mental/emotional part, she's still not completely there mentally and is highly emotional.  This is a woman who cried maybe once every few years and is now weepy a lot.  But all signs in the right direction, just not entirely there yet.  Thank you for asking. :)

How's life? Job, CA, etc? Actual non-schtick question.

In general things are better right now, thanks.  Other than the cost of housing CA is cool, and our neighborhood isn't quite as "Stepford" as we feared it would be.  Overall, we enjoy it.  Mrs. 5 still hasn't found legit full-time work, which is a drag (especially for her), but given how the last couple years have been I'm trying to look at the bright side.

The job is.....complicated.  For the most part I really like the folks I work with, particularly the team for my discipline.  Some genuinely good people at this studio.  Very welcoming.  Unfortunately, they've also had two rounds of layoffs since I started.  Small ones, and I avoided both thankfully, but it has not made me feel great about upper management's ability to land contracts.  It also has made the studio start to slowly bleed talent (particularly engineers), as I think many are antsy.  A few projects are winding down now and if things in the pipeline don't start getting buttoned up in the next few months I assume they'll be making another round of cuts.  Fingers crossed that a big project we've bid on will be coming in soon though, which would remove a lot of pressure fo' sho'.

My wife and our friends had to eat swordfish and drink martinis all evening
Swordfish?  Is this a euphemism or do you mean actual swordfish?  I haven't seen that on a menu in years, and actually commented a couple of months ago that I missed it.
