Solid.  This is pretty much my Sunday.  I been meaning to tell you that I might get dragged back your way for FEMA again this year (assuming the worst, but hoping for the best).  Maybe next time we can get together.

Definitely.  I'm sure you can't wait to get back to Winchester  :D

Been at a carnival since  2:00 going to be here all day because there’s fireworks tonight. It’s currently 90° out.

Pray for mojo

Take him to the school or park and teach him on the grass.  Let him fall down a few times (won't hurt) and he'll be riding in no time.
We’ve used an empty parking lot.  It’s easier to ride on than grass but they don’t have to worry about keeping it straight like they would on sidewalk

we live on a cul de sac so she got to ride in the middle of the road with no traffic. sidewalks are too convoluted.

she started to get it but ran out of gas. it was so hot today and she tried for so long that exhaustion got the best of her before she nailed it. came close a couple times but couldn't go very far before tipping.

back at it tomorrow

If you have gout, you have it for life I think

get on meds asap imo
I beat The Gouts.

I did everything.  Meds, both allopurinol and uloric.  Uloric worked better for me, but didn't work all the time.  no booze for a year, vegetarian for a year, raw food for 3 months.  None of that #### worked. I found that a serious reduction in stress and a massive increase in exercise as well as eliminating almost all hard liquor, worked.

I Still drink some wine and loads of beer.

One of the most important things I learned in my 2-3 year search is that Everyone is different and what works for one, will not work for another. Try different things. Experiment and find what works for you.

Haven't had an attack in years. Search the forum for the gout thread for more details.

But you still have it. Just controlling it through diet and stuff.

Have her learn balance on a gradual downhill slope. Don't worry about pedals.
My daughter learned this way in about 20 minutes, was riding by herself after about 5 times down a very low profile hill in our backyard.  Was amazing.

i disagree.  using your logic, everyone has it, because everyone has uric acid in their system.  it's not The Herp.  similarly, everyone is obese and merely controlling it through diet and stuff.

semantics I guess.

internet sums it up like this:

Patients with chronic gout can use behavioral modification such as diet, exercise, and decreased intake of alcohol to help minimize the frequency of attacks.
I haven't had an attack in years and my uric acid levels are super low, but I don't think I'm cured or anything.
