I. Stuck at home. One kid at work. One spending the night at a friends. Wife is at a girls-only birthday at someone's house. They're doing in home manicures, pedicures, and facials (not the good kind). I told her I'd stay sober in case she needed a right. In retaliation I'm going to start drinking Sterno spritzers at about noon tomorrow.

II. I don't have any hot FB friends Unless someone wants me to post pics of 40+ year old broads I went to school with that are still OK.

III. I think I got GM's phone number via a group text tonight. I know I got Thorn's too. Expect a bunch of cat pics tomorrow evening.

I recently re-connected with this gal on facebook. She's a couple years younger than me. We lifeguarded and taught swim lessons together at the DCC in the early/mid 90s. Gorgeous then and a classic beauty now, IMO. Went to Northwestern and Stanford grad...had an internet company of her own before anybody had one of those. I remember her explaining the internet to me over smokes and beers. She and I were GREAT friends during summers, but we always had SO's in college (Chicago for her, Miss for me) and so just....hung out. Now don't get me wrong, I would have loved to have gotten physical, but I always feared making a move and ruining the friendship. I really did like her and was okay not sealing the deal...I was doing just fine absent her, but boy...she sure would have been a nice feather in the cap. Highly successful today, triplets, trophy husband. Way way way WAY out of my league. But cool to be have been her close friend and reconnect later in life.

Not like Homer, no. I took my 9 year old to BW3 to watch the Blazers as his brother had a 'playdate' (i hate that word) and my wife is stuck in Detroit. Had one Stella. Nothing prior. Good dinner with the K-man. Topics ranged from Muhamed Ali to Gay Penguins to Point Spreads. Came home at 7:30, Coop home at 8, talked to wife, poured the rest of my Inkberry, put boys to bed, made gin and water with lemon (no vodka, no beer, no wine).Just really really bored. Really bored. Ready for wife to come home.

Awhile back on another board a female member made the mistake of telling us she was going to the spa to get a massage and facial. The response was unrelenting and hilarious. "Going to the spa" became the code for this maneuver. We even sent each other shtick coupons for free spa treatments. I wish I still had one to show. The best one was as ornate as a dollar bill with a pic of a smiling woman ripped from a real spa's website, only oops ####s.
