GM's thread about nothing (34 Viewers)

Which according to that list is everyone but you and me.
and me
Set it up, dorks. Totally stupid question, but how far is Bakersfield from San Fran? I'll be there for one night only next month.
Easy 45 minute drive.
San Francisco isn't even 45 minutes from San Francisco.
You really don't think Slacks could have opened up a map and figured that one out himself?

No.

I gave up keeping track of cornholers when I saw Tigerfan was beating the snot out of me. He wins.
We did this in the thread previously right? TF obliterated the field then. He even added my BIL to the list this year.I imagine Tipsy could give him a contest.
I think my list is well over a hundred by now.
Whore.
I just tried to update it.86 and counting but I'm probably forgetting some.

We are babysitting our 18-month-old nephew this morning. We arrived to find him engrossed in a cartoon. Great. I take him in the kitchen briefly and my husband changes the TV to ESPN. I tell him to please change it back, and that his world (getting to watch what he wants, when he wants, etc.) is going to be rocked if we have kids. I ran to the store for about 20 minutes just now. I came back to find that he had rolled the kid's high chair into the living room, right in front of the TV, and plopped the kid in it so as to limit all that toddling around. I can't decide whether to be super impressed or frightened for our potential children.
My dad watched what he wanted when he wanted and used me as the remote control. I got in trouble if I spun the channel changer knob to fast.
And you only had 3 channels, but THAT'S THE WAY IT WAS AND YOU LIKE IT?
Actually we had more than that. We also had PBS and at least one UHF channel that showed wrasslin', Creature Feature movies, etc.
And around 1am, the TV went to snow as all the channels went off the air for the night.

Not before they played a pretty low-budget version of the Star Spangled Banner or Taps or some such....what a strange tradition.

Cos, did we ever coax some folks down from Seattle for this weekend? Rover? Drifter? Pigskin? Ninja? Brit? !? You know who I want to party with? The guy up in Seattle who is a zoo keeper. Valence or some such? That guy would be fun to party with.

Wonder if any Portland people would be up for a cornhole.....Tommyboy? Um....I think that's it.

20 minutes after I finished my soup and sandwich (Tri Tip sub and Crab and Wild Musroom chowder), someone comes in from a meeting with a giant box of Jimmy Johns sandwiches that were leftover (whole sandwiches, untouched). I pretty much have to have one even though I'm not hungry, right?
Where did you get your lunch, the Tri Tip and Chowdah? That sounds good, I might want to give that a try. (I work downtown Seattle).

 Boss lost his iPod last month, got a new one and since his sons were gone on vacation, asked if I could load up some music for him. Said he didn't want any of his old songs, that he'd 'worn them out' and knew that I could source some music for him gratis. Then he handed me the Rolling Stone Magazine with the top 50 albums of 2011 and asked if I could get those on there.

#2 on the list was a CD by Jay-Z and somebody else (50 cent or Kanye West?), so I put that on there. He uses it to work out, so what the hell, he might like it. And afterall, it was #2. Has to be good, right?

He had me take it off the next day. Said he was on stairmaster when this came on and he wasn't offended by the "B" word or the "F" word or any of the foul language that earn us a 4-year ban on FBG. There was some lyric about having more game than FIVE Michael Jordans or something and he just shook his head and wanted it off his iPod.

I'm guessing it's because he's in the illuminate that he has more game than 5 MJs.

NCCommish is a welcome and fine addition in here. What took so long, fella?
I have been lurking the thread for a while actually. Sounds stupid I guess but I was unsure how much my presence would be appreciated. Some folks really don't care for me it seems and you guys are having a pretty good time. Didn't want to step on that. But I wanted to express my condolences for GB Packs loss. Then I was in and there was no turning back. So I decided to go ahead and take the plunge.
Who in here doesn't care for you?

You mean like, Megashark vs. Giant Octopus and Dinocroc vs. Supergator?Sweet.
It was the late 60's early 70's and we hadn't discovered those things yet. More old school than that, lots of B&W. Story of my life - born too late for free love and too early for cool creature movies.
How about Sammy Terry??
Nope. Just the generic Creature Feature. I guess it was sold to independent stations so they had some content. No cool hosts or anything. But we did get Kung Fu Theater with it.
We had Dr.Shock with our Horror Theatrehttp://www.maskdr.com/DrShock/clips.html
In Dayton, we had
Ned the Dead, ftmfw

I could possibly do Saturday night/Sunday. I might be buying a new truck this weekend though

-fish- was the only one who sounded very excited about it, but he's out of town til Sat., I think and I kind of doubt he'll sober up long enough to make the drive.I mentioned it to Brit, P, Ninja and Drifter when I first made the plans, And you're right, I forgot Valens or whoever was up there. We should try and track him down.

You don't want mine? Orig sticker was over $40K, so it should be high end enough for you.

1. You people were way too prolific today for me to catch up. Who's doing today's summary?

2. I was letting one of my paralegals use our vacation house for free for five nights in March. Now she can't go, and someone else we work with, with whom I'm spoken maybe 3-4 times, told her that he would be interested in staying there in her stead. So he e-mailed me and asked about it--I sent him all kinds of info to which his only response was to ask what kind of discount I'd give him. After thinking about it a while, and again I barely know the guy, I offered to let him stay there for half-price. He then asked me if I could take 70% off instead.

Moral of the story: people suck.

My cornhole list1.2.3.:(I'm holding out hope for the Upstate NY Cornhole Zooks and I discussed once. We could have it at some crappy casino like Turning Stone. He could grab Thorn, and meet me and Bakes and maybe Homer for a night serious drinking and shenanigans. I know it won't happen, but a man can dream.
you should try for steve tasker and bakes. good beer peeps
Yea, I still have some family up Tasker's way. Next time I head up there we should meet at Duff's or the Anchor Bar. I haven't been to either in ages and miss me some Buffalo wings and beer.
 I could use a road trip. :yes:Could also do up Gabriel's Gate as their wings are top shelf. Tasker's mentioned that the Nine-Eleven Tavern has killer wings as well.

I would almost possibly sober up for this.
