Is 37 too old to take up smoking pot?
Hell no. My mother admitted to us that she tried it recently and likes it. A lot. She wants my sister to get her some 'joints'. Also, my dad took my mom to the ER this morning, kicking and screaming. She said she was fine and would ride out her cold with Nyquil and rest. She has a horrible bout of Pnemonia (not even going to attempt looking this one up but I know it starts with "ph" and that's it) and will be hospitalized for the next two days.
I have never even smoked a cigarette before, but thinking I might try sometime.
You should come down to austin and do it right the first time, maybe at the foot (feet?) of the Willie Nelson statue (erected / dedicated 4/20)
Tonight I may get Bogart's hemp cherry.

Bogart gonna start a new trend: stoned videos??

How does a dude by the name of Bogart never smoked pot? I'm not buying it.

Rehearsal dinner Friday night, got home at 2am. Wedding Saturday night, got back to the room at 3am. I conservatively put the number of beers/whiskeys I had Friday at 25 and Saturday 50. It could have been closer to 65 though. My body is sore. More to follow but I crushed the toast.

Spent the weekend in SC for my sister's engagement party/shower. Planned to come back yesterday morning but when my dad learned that I had the day off today, he asked that I stay last night. Had an amazing day just sitting around with my folks and my sister - no TV on, no iPhones... just sat around talking and laughing.

At one point in the day, my 69-year-old dad informed us that he has some feelers out in town for someone to get him some pot. He just wants a little bit so that he can "step out into the garage and take a sip every so often". :lmao:

Dear Guy Who Wore Cyclist Spandex Shorts to the Gym,

Foul. Red Card. Flag on the play.

The last thing I want to see is your shrink-wrapped tootsie roll. I also don't care if you aren't Jewish.

Yours,

Did the crawfish boil Saturday and we stayed at my brother's house. Had more to drink than I've had in a long while. Woke up Sunday with what can only be called the worst headache ever, caused me to puke my face off. Had to take advil three times yesterday and feel a headache coming on now. Pray for me.

Have any of the parents here dealt with sensory integration issues? We took JR to the occupational therapist today, and she (along with AngryWife) thinks he has some. So we're going to send him to OT twice a week for the next month. Curious about the outcome for anyone that has ever gone through this.

The best part for me was when he was throwing beanbags at a target with great success. The OT asked if I'd already gotten him into baseball. The truth is that he's spent a lot of time playing cornhole at tailgates, campouts, etc. to the point where it's his favorite game.

The worst part was the fact that pretty much everything that's wrong with him is also wrong with me, so I couldn't blame any of it on the wife.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I too am in the market for a bike. Once we move, I'm going to put my bike on the communter train and then bike into the office. Hoping to save gas money and drop some pounds. Also hoping to pick up a healthy habit for once in my life. I am hoping to pick up a used bike for under $200. Would hate to tie up real money into a bike and let it sit in the garage motionless next to my roller blades, punching bag and barbells. :bag:
Don't take this the wrong way or anything, but you don't come across online as the handiest sort. It might not be a bad idea to buy an inexpensive new bike so that you know it actually works. How tall are you? Feel free to use me as a resource if you want opinions on CL bikes.

I went to get beers last night in these. In my defense, I rode my bike to the place that served the beer. It was raining so I was soaking wet though. :bag:

Will do. Can I get a Trek for about 200 new? I'm like 6'...with shoes.

I've got a 4 year old Gary Fisher that I paid $450 for and it suits me just well. I can do some trails, and I can bike on the road to work. Don't let PJ throw you for a loop. How much are you looking to bike? Based on you're posting you are looking for both trails and road, correct? I would defer to PJ on this but don't let him make you spend more that $400. You don't need a Lamborghini when a Ford Taurus is going to suit you very well.Sorry PJ but bikes are a small time scam.

No. I work at a Specialized shop, and they start at about 450 for the type of bike I'd imagine you'd need. I'd imagine Trek is priced about the same. You going to make it up my way anytime soon?

I will defer to your clearly superior knowledge on the subject and greatly await learning about bikes from your forthcoming posts.

I would go into great detail about how awesome and generous cosjobs is, but I'm drunk, and you guys already know that.

Details tomorrow.

Great visit with Bogart. We stopped by the Crow Bar for cocktails and then decided to head back to the casa to grill some steaks, watch the Rangers (lose) and drink heavily. Good time, but Bentley never showed up and we had to call a cab to take Bogart back to the hotel. Next time we'll get Kevzilla and Bentley involved. I'm going to need to restock the liquor cabinet for that event.

You know I am reluctant to offer an opinion, but I think you should head up to Seattle some weekend a have the professional ninja fit you to a Specialized. Getting just the right fit on a bike and getting it tweaked just for you is worth way more than the extra $50 over what you ahve budgeted. But go on a day when its raining and you can check out his junk.,

I must have misread your posts. I'm sorry, good sir, I meant no disrespect. However you sell bikes. Did I not see you even say that you would recommend a bike ~$450? I just think that I am in GMs target audience and can save him a few clams. I bought a bike for $450 that I fully intended to use quite often and it satisfies my needs. I use it maybe 2 times/week during the summer. If he plans on using it 5 times/week per summer (like I did) then don't sell him on that. He doesn't need anything more than that. There's no need for him to spend anywhere near ~$6-700Sorry for stepping on your toes.

Are you guys near Dallas (Southlake)?

Not today. In Austin, but all other times only about 25 mins from Southlake.

I should be in Southlake for a few days in a few (maybe 4) months  :banned:

My toes are fine. My frugality muscle is pretty good too (see: working at a bike shop) so I get the being frugal thing. I'm down with that. I'll help GM if he wants a new bike or a used bike, if he wants to buy it at my shop or not. If he does buy it at my shop, I'll give him a nice discount and won't make a dime of commission - not that I ever do. My advice would be the same regardless though.I have zero need to argue with you about bikes, and I'm happy you were able to get a bike you're really happy with for $450. I hope you ride it a lot and it stays in really good shape. Bikes are great.

Greetings from BWI...a little more action than Milwaukee this am. Sat next to this girl on the plane that must of ransacked an Apple store.
