My wife yapped all during our Vegas trip. If it wasn't for the tremendous amount of sex I probably would have ditched her in Searchlight. Oh, one thing I forgot . We were playing our favorite slot machine (about the only one we play) "Star Wars Droid Hunt". The wife called Greedo "Guido". I spit watered down vodka out my nose.

Does anyone else work in an office where people are adopting "standing cubes" or "standing offices"? WTMF? I heard yesterday that a bunch of people here were getting standing cubes put in and then saw one today. Basically they take away your chair and put everything up higher so that you can stand up instead of sitting while you work.I repeat, WTMF?

This is all the rage in Europe and by all the rage I mean 10 years ago. It's supposed to be better on your back but I'm guessing they've paid dearly in bad hips/knees/ankles. Thankfully I don't hear about this "innovation" any more. Put the "open office" concept right after the "standing cube" too.

So, I signed up for the cub scour dad and lad camp with my son. His week end for the camp is this coming Saturday. It's not bad enough that I am going to be spending approximately 24 hours with all the other crazy cub scout people but the forecast now calls for 105, 104, 101 and 101 the next 4 days in Missouri. I am not sure how he is going to deal with the constant heat and trying to sleep outside at night is going to be miserable. Other than that should be a great time. FML

Yikes. This is a good time to remind everyone of the FBG buddy system. Don't Jayrod us.

So tomorrow straight after work I am driving to Connecticut for a weekend of wedding festivities for a buddy from high school who has made it big on Wall Street. I am predicting a shirt show of pretty epic proportions. Here are the reasons why:



* dude made the wedding black tie only. Not the bride, the groom. Setting aside that temps are predicted to be in the 90s for the weekend, he has invited a ton of people "from the neighborhood," and they would be pissed off at being forced to rent tuxes at room temperature. One guy threatened to show up in a top hat and tails, because #### you, that's why.

2. Neither of them are from Connecticut, and the reception is at the hotel where everyone is staying. 99% of guests are coming from out of town. Ergo, there are absolutely no concerns about drinking and driving, not even across town. Everyone will be, literally, already home for the night.

1830. Bc so many people are coming from out of town, in addition to the rehearsal dinner, there is a party for out-of-towners tomorrow night. Two things here. People will be getting to know and like (or dislike) each other the night before with booze, AND (SLACKS), when everyone wakes up the next day, they will have nothing to do but sit by the pool in the 90 degree heat and drink while waiting for the 6:30 pm ceremony.

§ Groom is a nice enough guy, but is a classic case of "forgetting where you came from." There are more than a couple attendees who would actually enjoy making a scene so as to help remind him.

0. Groom's dad served in the Marine Corps and will have several of his 60-year-old-plus USMC buddies who are not going to be outdone by any young bucks.

∞. Groom's self-impressed Wall Street buddies probably won't want anyone to outdo them either (I seen Boiler Room and stuff).

Well that's sort of mean and makes me want to quit the innnernets. My wife's heretofore (sp?) worthless cat has caught TWO mice in the garage tonight. Peanut butter trap got a 3rd. I tossed all their dead carcasses (sp?) into the street, in hopes buzzards will get them. Or cars.
