This "having a kid" thing is pretty cool. Except I keep getting cabin fever/stir crazy sitting home on a weekend. Especially this weekend where whores think to themselves "Self, the way I normally dress isn't whorrey enough. How about more slutty?" :kicksrock:
What's really awesome is when you they get a little bit older and you can't even make crock pot chicken whenever you want.
Your bathrooms don't have locks?
My boys are like terminators. There is no time alone. There is no rest from assault.

Lincecum in the hall? Two cy youngs and two rings is a pretty good résumé.
Rings really shouldn't count for anything in re: the baseball HOF.
You know you're happy for our Giants.
Independent of that. There are a lot of shmoes who have won multiple WS rings. Doesn't mean much. As far as Lincecum goes, I think he has to become a very good starter again. He could get there, but doesn't have enough yet.
Yeah, not a lot of 79 win starters in the HOF.

Colin Cowherd has been my gambling jebus this year. Let's hope for my sake he remains red hot.

Colin's Picks

Falcons (+3) at Eagles

Giants (-2) at Cowboys

Chargers at Browns (+3)

Seahawks (+2.5) at Lions

Dolphins (+2.5) at Jets
My ability to attend Cosjobshole may be riding on this.
Pretty good day here, eh?
Yeah, I made enough to cover flight to Austin, but it turns out none of you are going, so that blows. But yeah, I had this on RR Parlays and had ML parlays that came through too. Big day here. Betting big on UNDER 6.5 MLB and big on Scherzer despite losing a fortune on Tigers so far. And have Saints to complete some more parlays and singles +6 and ML too.
Thorn and I said we were in
And Bentley/Kevin locally and Charvik and Bogart and K4 for a day or two. Looks doable. With me and Uruk and you, that's nine and we really have not "officially" posted it yet.

Watched Homeland, forgot to logon to fantasy basketball draft. Autodraft picked 7 white guys for me. :(
Pretty sure you could sell that franchise to Utah or Boston for a huge profit.

I've said it before, but this bears repeating. The combination of Nestlé Quik and Marlboro Lights might be the most powerful laxative known to man.

Not to politicize the weather, but it's important to remember that Gov. Romney advocated either eliminating or privatizing (!) FEMA, back in the primaries when he wanted the Tea Party to like him.
I wrote "LOL at 'not to politicize the weather,' and then totally politicizing the weather."He deleted the comment. And this was a guy that had a great sense of humor in school, didn't seem to take himself too seriously, etc.God I hate politics.

Took the son and daughter camping Saturday with the Cub Scouts. About an hour and half drive into Baylor Bear country. Real life camping. Tent and everything. Toilet in a metal shed 200 yards away. Ponds to fish, trails to hike, campfires to burn. First time I have been camping in 20 years, second time for the boy, first time for the girl. It showed:

Mistake number one: We were responsible for our own food for lunch Saturday and breakfast Sunday. No problem, got the cooler, we will hit up the grocery as we get near the campsite and be golden. Instead, in the middle of central Texas, the only thing I could find for miles was a Dollar General. So lunch of Cheetos, Slim Jims, Graham Crackers and Ritz Bits. Breakfast was mini boxes of cereal. Kids loved it, but I felt like I was denying the something as everyone around us were busting out camp stoves and full kitchens of stuff. Thankfully the Scouts provided dinner and they got all the "camp style" food they could want.

Mistake number two: Our tent, brand new, only used once. Nice four man Coleman that the ex bought specifically for Scouting events. Not the smallest, not the largest, works out nice. Sleeping bags, again brand new, again bought by the ex for said Camping trips. I don't know if tents and sleeping bags are rated for weather, but these did not meet the needs of that night. By sunset, the temperature dropped into the 30s and bottomed out right at 32 degrees in the middle of the night. Refusing to ask for any help from the other campers, I took the large blanket and got it under and over my kids sleeping bags and they slept soundly through the night. Both only woke up once, but I got them back down quickly and back in their bags. Me on the other hand, only had my sleeping bag and froze my ### off. I don't remember being that cold. Tried everything I could think of with the clothes I had and my bag, but could not get warm. If my kids had not been there, I would have been in the car with the engine running, but instead basically stayed awake all night making sure neither of them got too cold. Lesson learned.

I was so cold, by 6:30 am, with everyone still sleeping, I pulled the car over, broke down camp and as soon as my daughter woke up, threw the tent dirty in the trunk, waved at the Scoutmaster, and left camp, without a trace of course.

I felt like the biggest city slicker ever pulling out of there.

Oof. Always be prepared and stuff.

AND YSR. #### sorry about that... and anyone else chime in too, if I neglected you. I remember an interested, but neutral response from kenfish and there were some others. but I've been so busy I've not put all the potentials together yet, until doing a poor and incomplete job in replying to GM.

Typically, sleeping bags will come with a label that tells you how low you can go in them. Obviously, the lower the temp rating the more they will cost. We have bags that are good to 0 degrees and hope like hell we never have to test them. But on Mt. Hood in the summer, you can get pretty cold at night, so we are prepared. Sleeping in the cold sucks while camping.

Pretty pumped for the extra special episode of the Jersey Shore when Snooki and the other stumpy walk around and discuss how much everything has changed. Then they'll go get hammered and fall down.

When we were on our way to KC last week there was a black lab standing on the side of the highway staring at a golden lab that hit by a car and presumably dead. Every once in a while he would look down the highway himself at the oncoming traffic. Very sad and very cool at the same time.
