GM's thread about nothing (27 Viewers)

So there's gonna be a nightly BobChat, huh?Cool.
Why not?
I'm just jealous that he's moved on so quickly.
I spoke with Bob for an hour a couple months back. He had moved on before he got to you.
I spoke to Bob over a year and a half ago. Maybe even close to two years ago. :bowtie:
How many years ago did you and I first speak? :bowtie:

Can someone combine the Movember donation links? I'd like to donate to all of the good folks here, but am lazy as hell and don't feel like running them down.

Close to 5? Yeesh, sometimes it's weird to think how long I have been on here. Can't imagine how you 3-digiters feel.

Tell him to double up on this. Maryland has a LB playing QB, they are last in the NCAA in offense, and FSU is 1st in defense. O/U is around 45. MD may not score but FSU can get that many since the Terps' top defensive player is done for the year and they weren't all that good with him.

It was pretty awesome. We went to the field through the Cardinals dugout. The parents had to hang out along the seats down the line, but the kids were lined up between home and third during most of the pre-game stuff, national anthem, etc. Then they ran to the positions right before the Reds were introduced. I had a minor freak out moment, because Phillips was still doing warm ups and had to get back to the dugout and get his glove before going on the field. So my son is out there standing on second while the rest of the kids were coming off the field. I think the only other kid still on the field was the one running in from center, and Phillips hadn't even gotten to second yet. Homer Bailey was warming up, rest of team was throwing, etc. Then we all start getting ushered to the dugout by security. Luckily I was able to snap some pics and Brandon finally got there.

My favorite part was Zach waving to the crowd while he waited, like they were all there to see him.
So I submitted one of the pics I took to the Cincinnati Enquirer for some Reds fan photo contest. Won a $100 gift card good at the stadium or team shop. "]Check out slide 5.

No offense GB, I appreciate the offer for sure, but I'd rather pay for drinkable coffee than drink that pig droppings tea.Only thing worse would be Community coffee... or maybe I've just been lucky to not have ingested worse.ETA: Damn, that didn't sound very friendly, but maybe explanied in/by the below post. I meant to say that Folgers is crap, and that's why they might be losing ground to the other compnaies.
God, I'd love to roll back the tape and show this thread your reaction to a Coors Light. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
:lmao: not sure which is worse, bland, weak coffee, or beer...

So does anyone know how to shower without getting their leg wet? They told me not to try to bag it because the water will wick in. My wound is still considered sterile because it's wrapped pretty good and I'm not supposed to change the dressing. If I get it wet that changes everything.

Can you take a bath?

Use your shower beer chair, but put in tub instead. Prop leg up on side of chair and tub. Use shower head to wash up.

Yes, but I'm almost 40, so that's out of the question.

I don't have a fancy removable shower head.

but you're almost 40 and have gout so a bath is acceptable.

By the way, I was informed our pic was "runner-up". Not sure which of the 10 was the official winner, but mine blows the rest out of the water. I can truly say that without bias.

:goodposting: seems like the easiest way to go
That would mean the same water that is rinsing away a 4 day build up of ball sweat will also be used to rinse my hair. I'll pass.

Dear Shuke,

I seriously recommend you go to Lowes and buy a teak shower chair and a hand held shower. It might cost $100. You are worth it.

Sincerely,

Your Life

Have your wife go get one, seriously. It'll be a lot easier to get clean, or it'll be a huge pain trying to balance in the shower. I've done this more times than I care to remember, so trust me.A shower head is what, $20 at lowes?

Seriously, it's worth it just for not having to depend on others, and if you're considerate, you can have the wife spend $100 on the shower head for when you travel.

Was it that long ago? I haven't moved on as much as I'm just checking off my list too. Late at night, a big ol' house gets lonely.ETA Pretty sure we've spoken more recently than that YSR.

Haven't been here for a few days, working crazy hours and going out on dates that involve me paying for dinners but not having sex. (Had my first ever visit to Cheesecake Factory, that was almost as good as sex) Yesterday was especially long and stressful, at one point I walked past the desk of the creepy guy that works in "IT" and I stopped and said "hey, when you finally really lose it and come in here and shoot up the place, I want you to shoot me first, right in the face" He never looked up from his computer monitor but quietly said "sounds good". When he left for the day he walked by my office and stopped for a second and gave me a "thumb-finger" gun shot and said "see ya Monday". I'm slightly nervous about coming in to work on Monday.

Also, the highlight of my week: I go to the FFA this morning and see the Eatoff thread on page 1 and I literally got cramps from laughing at GM eating his offspring.

Make them pay but issue a coupon redeemable for full reimbursement of dinner if you have sex.

It knew there wasn't going to be sex, I'd go alone and call up SLB for some Bob-chat while I enjoy a nice steak.

Our Grizzlies* are 7-1 and have the best record in the NBA. They beat Miami, OK City, and the Knicks this week, in each case by double digits.

*Just giving it a shot.
you're doing it right. Memphians only support their teams when winning.
I've supported them the full three years I've been here, but mostly because they've been more of an underdog. I like underdogs. Supporting a team this good is a little awkward for me, but I'll hope to get over it. Also going to cut out the windowsills that Mike Conley decided to autograph and sell them for profit. (Not really.)I like going to games at FedEx Forum. It's a fun venue--very loud.
