GM's thread about nothing (33 Viewers)

Attn: Fans of Nate Silver and/or Steve Albini.

Steve will be interviewing Nate Silver on Dec. 19th as part of Second City's 24 Hours of Improv, and is currently soliciting questions for Mr. Silver. I know some of y'all are fans, so if there is anything you'd like Steve to ask, let me know and I'll get it to him.

EDIT: alternatively, you could just create an account for the forums at www.electricalaudio.com and post them in the appropriate thread. However, folks over there--Steve included--will be kind of suspicious of a sudden influx of 1st-time posters in a "celebrity thread". (It happens every time Steve insults some music industry personality, which is unsurprisingly often.). Your questions might not get a lot of weight.
"Is he developing a version of PECOTA which would account for certain variables in a band's recorded output and the trending thereof which would help us consider how excited we should be for the next record?" Awesome question.
Perhaps he could build on Tim Midyette's awesome work on musical correctness.

Kev- Still no CPAP???
Nope. Sixteen straight nights of lousy, interrupted, low-oxygen sleep. And counting. My doctor checked in with me today. Told him I was living on chocolate-covered coffee beans and Diet Mountain Dew. That should get his attention.
Dude, that's ridiculous.no chance in hell I'd stand for that. No CPAP Plus Stores near you? Hell I can give you a number and call them with a script with your setting and have them overnight one to you.
That really is ridiculous. Glad my insurance is thru St. Davids. You really should be raising hell somewhere. I mean its like you could die and ####.
I appreciate everyone's concern. I'm not going to die. My doc will be calling the health plan on my behalf, shortly after I singe someone's ear tomorrow morning.

I'm going to get one of those countdown clocks, set it to March 15 (bonus day), and put it in my office. Mr. krista thinks this is too aggressive.

Some guy on the train is very loudly discussing the hemmeroid surgery he just had on his cellphone.
That stinks my friend. I will now dive into the pool in my living room as a show of solidarity
A passenger in a pick up truck in front of me leaned out his window and puked all over my car as I was driving along this afternoon. Dive SLB-style, pls.
Leaving non sequiters aside - I'm scratching my leg. Hence my phone bill.

Yeah, actually taking five days Dec. 20-28 (two holidays in there, too). And two days in January. And...I should wedge a few more in there before I leave.

I've done that in the past, but this year the end of the year is going to be insane. People are afraid of tax changes so we are buying about a zillion companies, all of which need to be closed by 12/31. Kind of sucks for my team as I'll be much less available due to travel, but great for me.

gotcha

Found out tonight that if we moved back to Chicago, we could have a fully furnished house to stay in for free (for Chicagoans, it's in Logan Square). Chicago shooting up my rankings of where to move.

One oddity: the house is my ex-husband's. Impossibly awkward or impossibly modern to do this?

So modern.
