We got 2" of snow yesterday and the entire city went into a frenzy. Romo insisted on coming to pick me up early from work, and at 3:30 I finally gave in (most coworkers were leaving around then). I appears that everyone else had the same idea: it took him an hour to drive the 3.5 miles to campus, and then took us 2 hours to drive home. The University isn't opening until 10:00 this morning, but they have put out a caveat to all staff to only make a "reasonable" effort to come in. My driveway and street are both iced over.

I know, I know. 2" ain't much to brag about, but it's rendered this city useless.

It's not the depth of the snow, it's how you plow it.

With the sad news yesterday from Tanner and Bogart, I thought, I'd give a good news update.If you all remember, my BiL was in a bad car accident last month, spent several days on a ventilator and almost 2 weeks in the hospital. This past week he got the OK to be able to drive again and is going to try to go back to work on Monday. He'll have to do light duty as he still has external pins in his hand (they will be removed at the end of the month). His head injuries have healed (he had 2 subdural hematoma's). In his hospital stay, he had lost 35lbs, going from around 200lb to 165lb, which sounds kinda nice (wish I could lose that much) but he is 6'4". His appetite is coming around, he says that the smell of certain foods still make him nausea's, but all in all, he is doing fantastic.I just want to, again, thank all of you for the TPW from last month.

Last night I had Hot Pockets for dinner, because apparently I hate myself.

These were Hot Pockets Limited Edition, I told myself, maybe they're better. The BBQ burger flavor wasn't too bad, but the Chili Dog variety, well...I have no doubt there is dog food more palatable. Nevertheless, I ate them, and went to work this morning with four Hot Pockets performing their evil alchemy deep inside me.

Now understand, it's dry here in winter, and when wearing certain shirts, I turn into a weapons-grade Tesla coil of static electricity. When informed by my colon of the, uhmmm, urgency of the situation, I set sail for the restroom, blithely grabbing the doorknob that stood between my bowels and their relief.

I sustained the briefest lapse of structural integrity in the aft bulkhead. Scary, but the underwear was spared. Good thing, too, because I had to go downtown for a meeting after work. The skin of my...cheeks was not so lucky. It was eaten alive by my own bile salts. My pancreas may have given up, but my liver and gallbladder are working just fine, thank you.

This thread reminds me a lot of most of my college classes. I don't go to it very often, but when I do, it's usually very interesting, even though I can't keep up with all of the stuff because of everything I've missed during the past week (or month) when I haven't been here. As with college, I find myself thinking I should show up on a more regular basis. But then never doing it.So it's taken a while for me to figure out what coshole is, and then why it's happening, and then the light just suddenly went on about who it's for. I had no idea - UH is one of 3 regularly posting Ravens fans in the Shark Pool and a hell of a nice guy. He's never mentioned this over there and I'm just completely stunned. Glad you guys are getting together.

They are tempered in liquid nitrogen. They last A LOT longer than a regular blade and are super sharp. I can shave my head and face in less than 2 minutes.
