Tried my hand at homemade ravioli for the first time tonight. One was chicken sausage with apple and goat cheese, the other was veal with fresh basil, garlic, and ricotta. Surprisingly (at least to me), the chicken variety was wayyyy better. Not as cool as coshole, but I just made my first remoulade evah to go with my first evah Baltimore crab cakes tomorrow.![]()
Truth be told, you were most unlike all of my expectations. For some reason I had it in my head that you looked like Opie from SOA....beard, big beer belly, etc. Quite opposite. Enjoyed meeting you as well and I imagine we'll cross paths soon.Hmmm.....seems like someone was left out of this summary. #######.I should be there around 4 tomorrow. Are Dallas guys staying for the game?I am now home while the GMTANNERS eat BBQ. I won't be attneding the Super Bowl party so I thought it wise to reflect on the last 30+ hours. When Tim Berners Lee and Al Gore invented the internet, they did so as a way for science and security to be more easily shared between computers. I'm sure they didn't imagine that the web would be a place for people who otherwise would never know each other existed to come together. And when I started on these boards 9 years ago I never envisioned what they would eventually mean to me and the place the FFA specifically would have in my life. I can say without reservation that the last two days have been an amazing experience where what is "good" about the FFA and the internet as a whole has manifested itself in real ways. The people at Coshole are kind, they are funny, they are smart, and they are compassionate. They like to drink and smoke and swap stories and laugh. And they like to meet new people and have real conversations about real things. I never dreamed that the people I met were going to be normal and - better yet - good people who simply want to have a good time with their friends. Outside of GM's aversion to the sun (long sleeves and a hat despite it being 75 degrees and sunny) most every other impression I had was either off-base or completely wrong. And that was refreshing and awesome. Two days ago these people were all iFriends. Now I think of them as real friends and I hope they see me the same way. I'm sure Gadzooks, Uni, and Stu would be awesome to have lunch with next time I'm in D/FW just as Guster would be great to see if I make it to Cincy. I've got a visit to Homer's bar on my bucket list now just as I'd like to visit Uruk in D.C. one day and spend some time taking in the sights. If I'm ever in Maine, I'll be calling up Thorn for a night of drunken debauchery. And as I'm in Knoxville often I imagine my path will cross with Romo and YSR sooner than later. Truly, there was not a disappointment in the group. To a man (or woman) this was truly the nicest group of people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. And a special thanks to Cos and his wife who have been friends of mine for a while and never fail to make everyone in the room feel important, special, and gladly welcome. Truly an awesome experience all the way around. So thanks to them and thanks to those that have come to town. I hope you all have had fun and enjoy the rest of your time in our fair city. And if i can ever be of assistance or friendship to any of you, you'll know where to find me.

I don't have the keys to the GMTAN Twitter. Try any gif from this page. We're about to have a real ####storm around here related to the Major Applewhite "situation." And we had a QB (Brewer) get an MIP/PI today. This ####### sucks.Bentley>send me (post on GMTAN twitter) a clever anti-OU photo. Thanks.

I'm going to assume this is good, somehow. So far I've heard that I'm not as old (UniAlias), fat (Homer) or fat and hairy (Colin) as everyone expected. I'm glad that my online persona creates such a strong impression. Those most different than what I expected: COlin & bently
From the Twitter feed it appears as if GM is done and out.Bentley - what happened with Applewhite?YSR - who is out of commission?

Story broke last night that he admitted a sexual encounter with a female student working in the athletics department after the 2009 bowl game. Ignoring the fact that his wife was 9 months pregnant at the time, it's going to be a ####storm because of the Bev Kearney situation where she was recently fired for a relationship that she had with an athlete ten years ago. Apparently, Dodds handed out some Mickey Mouse punishment to Applewhite and elected not to tell the Board of Regents about it. The Regents called an emergency meeting for tomorrow night, issued a press release saying that Applewhite's job wasn't in trouble because of the incident, and word on the street is that they're hella pissed that Dodds didn't mention it before and they only know because of the lawsuit Kearney has filed against the school for firing her for doing pretty much the same thing.Bentley - what happened with Applewhite?YSR - who is out of commission?
I'll sell you one of mine, but you have to come over in person to pay for it.Any squares left?
