I voted today. The people at the polling place said something very strange. They said they were prohibited by law to ask for identification. I don't understand why. What are they trying to do, make it easy for voter fraud?
Same here, I found this out years ago. I'm currently shticking with how little information I can provide to a poll worker, and still get a ballot. One year I gave a first name and three letters of a last name and they gave me a ballot. Another year, I showed them a piece of junk mail with a name on it, and got a ballot. I think this year I'm going to try pointing at a name in the voter roll book and see if I can get a ballot that way. "That guy, right there, that's me. Now give me his ballot."My state is stupid.
I'd like to know the rationale behind it. What's to prevent anyone from taking a phone book and picking up a carload of homeless people?
The smell.

Been out of town for the last few days without much innerweb access...a few random thoughts:1. Since when did Tobias Funke start posting in this thread?2. Is the :nerd: star wars talk done yet. I think I'm one of the few people in the world who absolutely hate these movies3. Halloween is awesome for many of the reasons that people have stated in here4. Looking forward to Dante's Kitchen with my GBs Jplvr and CoastGuardRaiderJoe5. For any Android users out there...the PDAnet app is awesome. Have my phone plugged into my netbook and am online in the car while the wife drives back home  I'm checking fantasy football scores while she sings Dr. Dre and ponders outloud "I wonder how old our kids will have to be until I stop playing old school rap in front of them"6. Hopefully the Saints get their #### together tonight. Gonna start boozing in a few hours for the game. Am stoked b/c last week I discovered this new meal they serve at the Superdome......they cut a bag of nacho cheese doritos horizontally and fill it with ground meat, cheese, jalapenos, onions, etc....then you eat it with a fork :thumbup:7. Should be a solid LSU/Bama game next week
Is your wife still in love with Les Miles?

Ugh. Here come the trick-or-treat'ers. I decided I'd participate this year. I hope I have enough candy as I ran out the first year, but I think I was giving too much to each person coming by.

#5 is awesome. Not you being a FF nerd, but a chick who knows rap songs.

Favre and his jaw were just having fun out there today.
He's like a kid out there. I think he got tricked though.More than 300 kids got treated at my door (no, not that way). $40 in candy. I was worried I'd have leftovers when I was at the check-out counter, but I'm left with a few tootsie roll pops. Snickers, Kit Kats, Nestle crunch, etc... all the good stuff went in the first hour or so. Luckily it slowed down and I managed to work my way through the blow-pops to the tootsie roll pops. Now I remember why I found reasons not to be home on Oct 31st in this neighborhood considering the first year I was here and having to go get more candy.

Irish bartender just hit the jukebox with the Nickelback> Daughtry > Hinder triple play. Think It is time to leave. Guinness so yummy though.
One time at a bar, I played a Christina Aguilera song 20 times in a row. Apparently the bartender has a kill switch, and no, you don't get your money back.YSR> what formation?

Backwards hat + Attitude Rude >>>>> Grouchy old, married Rude
me hating Halloween isn't really a new development.
Are you nuts, Halloween is hands-down the best holiday of the year. Done right (good attitude, not bad), it's hilarious and a blast. :) Congrats on getting married Rude!
whoa there fella....Thanksgiving and 4th of July are much much much better than Halloween. I can't believe you even typed that.

Which one of these do you like best in a survivor pool?Dallas as home against Jacksonville (Kitna for Dallas and Gerard probably for Jacksonville)Indy at home against Houston (Probably no Addai, Clark, and Collie for Indy)Denver against San Fran in London (Troy Smith starting for San Fran)
Indy.1. At home.2. I'll take more Wayne, more Garcon, and having Anthony Gonzalez back over Kitna. 3. Against that run defense sans DeMeco Ryans, Corey Hart could replace Addai. Mike will do just fine. Teh pale Manning comes to revenge for them.
:)

BRONG has a point. Though not so much Halloween itself as whatever Saturday is closest to Halloween.

Reaching David Lynch movie status. You know parts of the plot have been snipped out to mess with you, but you can't help but go along for the ride.

Great weather? Fireworks? Girls in short shorts and halter tops? Blues Fest on the water? Cookouts with lots of delicious meats? And a day off of work? I can't believe I'm even having to justify this. Why do you people hate America?

apparently it's too difficult to wade through a few dozen pages of BCS argument to see about which big games may impact standings, however, it's a lot more convenient to go through a few hundred pages for a post or two that MAY tip-toe over some undrawn, undefined line as to what may be pg vs pg-13

Just sayin'

I didn't even have any clue what the three letters were....I was hoping it was my GB SLB giving me some stock tips....but when I placed my buy order in at market order, it came back sorry no such ticker :goodposting:

Not sure why church people would even be at a website promoting gambling related activities... Don't they frown on that?

My mom always said that god has a tremendous sense of humor. If that's the case, then he and his followers would love this thread. I mean, all we're trying to do in here is make other people laugh. I don't think this thread has been anything more than a collection of goofballs who want to joke around with one another. There's been very little back-biting or nastiness towards others in here. I certainly hope nobody has been offended by anything posted in here. Seems odd to be handing out time outs or deleting posts in a space where everybody seems to get along. But it's not my website, so I don't get to make the rules. If only FBG would create a PG-13 forum....maybe make it $10 or something and give users a password. Then we could say horrible, naughty things like describing the way girls look on halloween or talking about the movie Cher made with Eric Stoltz.

On hold with the DMV. All I need is 3 little pieces of information but can't get it online. Tempted to go down in person but might as well sit here and wait.

Oh the Muzak they play on hold is some sort of continous loop of really terrible George Bensonesque jazz.

After a day of drinking at the Rams game I apparently lost my phone last night trick-or-treating with my boys.

So I just got back from T-mobil with a new phone. The cute young 20ish gal working there had the most stunning eyes. So much so that it took me a full minute to notice her enormous breasts. She was very sweet to. Just wow.

The best part was when her co-worker says " I know this might sound stupid and I should probably know this but is Christmas still on the 25th?"

Cute gal shook her head smiled at me and said I'm sorry.

If Mrs. SLB has any plans to get rid of me, I hope she lets me know soon so I can ask this gal out.

She says no. Probably pretty smart to just wait until I die.
