I guess we should all be very very careful in here.

(confirmed)

Watch for Stu and Stu Jr at the World Series tonight. CF Bleachers, 6th row, just to the LF side of the grassy knoll. Example. I'll be wearing my light blue Ron Washington t-shirt.

Hoping the Rangers can get a few more hits than they did last night. :)

:lmao: Did you shave your beard so as not to be confused with a Giants fan?

No way, I'm hoping a lazy check of my id will get me into the Giants bullpen. :9thinningmeatball:

:lmao: Took me a second but I got it.

My GB's kid plays hockey for the IHL. His second game a slap shot deflected off a stick, hit him in the mouth and knocked 5 teeth out.

5 root canals the following day. :)

Found this out yesterday.

Here's hoping Vlad hits one to you and one to the kid.

Just had some nutty broad call me up and ask if I could perform a quicky wedding ceremony for her and her dude...tonight. Why so soon? He's going in to rehab tomorrow.

Told her I was busy.

Lazy bones.
That's true. She also complained that my price quote was too high (which it isn't). I recommended the name of another officiant I know that does a ton of last minute ceremonies. The broad on the phone said she thought about calling her but she didn't want a woman to perform the ceremony. How sexist is that?

Apparently whatever Tufnel was posting got him and all of his aliases 2 years worth of ban. I didn't see his post, though.

what does one get paid to officiate?

I quoted her $75. Honestly I would have done it for $50 but she sounded like she was the one going to rehab the next day.Typically for meeting with the couple, doing the rehearsal, doing the ceremony I charge $150. I do charge mileage if it is out of town.

This seems like a pretty good second job. How much can one make doing this and how hard is it? I have no fear of public speaking and like weddings.

I heard a rumor that Joe Bryant doesn't like Nigel Tufnel. That makes me sad. Tufnel is one of the true 'good guys' out there. Bummer, man. He makes me laugh all the time. Why clip that guy?

It's not hard at all. As far as the money goes I'm averaging 1 a month since I started. I haven't done any real promotion or advertising except for buy business cards and put myself on the list a the county courthouse.

I watched 3 innings of baseball tonight looking for Stu. Tre, it's going to take a lot for me to get reinterested in the sport. Hopefully our performance in football is enough to get me on back-up duty only for baseball in Uber. Maybe things will change in the Spring.

Gotta get us on fantrax then. :goodposting:GM>hi

:tumbleweed: I'm surprised to hear this. Tufnel probably has the highest Q rating of anyone on this site. Unquestionably one of the good guys. :bag:

I voted today. The people at the polling place said something very strange. They said they were prohibited by law to ask for identification. I don't understand why. What are they trying to do, make it easy for voter fraud?
Same here, I found this out years ago. I'm currently shticking with how little information I can provide to a poll worker, and still get a ballot. One year I gave a first name and three letters of a last name and they gave me a ballot. Another year, I showed them a piece of junk mail with a name on it, and got a ballot. I think this year I'm going to try pointing at a name in the voter roll book and see if I can get a ballot that way. "That guy, right there, that's me. Now give me his ballot."My state is stupid.
I'd like to know the rationale behind it. What's to prevent anyone from taking a phone book and picking up a carload of homeless people?
The smell.
