I'm also extremely proud of Cal. The reason my cousin is in town is because their oldest is very special needs (he's six and still has to wear a diaper)so he is getting more testing at Children's Hospital. Cal too it upon himself to teach him how to say basic words like "lamp", "curtains", "rug" etc. Cal just walked him around the house and was as gentle as good be with him. That's a good boy right there.

My bad. I don't know what my deal is. A lot #### hit the fan at work this past week. Some of it my fault, most of it not. But if I don't fix it all, and quickly, it's not going to look good for me. I have been in a pissed off funk since my travel issues Friday night. My dad and I went to the games in Dayton yesterday. It was good spending time with him, but I just didn't enjoy it like I usually do. Maybe becasue 3 of the gams were blowouts. Or the fact we were there for 10 straight hours. I had some very uncomfortable gas by the time the third game started, but the toilets were beyond usable by that point (IU fans are filthy animals). Plus I felt guilty about being away from the family all week then get home and barely even see them all day.
Give yourself a break. The family wants you to he happy and if that means a day a year with dad I'm sure they understand.
:goodposting:Your dad is "family" too.

Missed this earlier.I don't know much about him, except hearing the name a lot.

Grilling mini-pizzas tonight. Will take pictures for those who were asking about 'em. Will effort for recipe later.
I really want to try this.
The key is obviously the dough. She made it this morning and then makes three balls that sit in a giant ziploc bag on the counter for a few hours. She then rolls out 20-25 round crusts about the size of a Frisbee. Then, about 90 minutes before go time, you want to grill 'em for about 90 seconds on each side. They'll start to bubble up, which is fine, just don't over bubble 'em. Everybody gets to make their own pizza, which is always a crowd pleaser. Having variety is key. Fresh basil is a must, imo. Different meats, peppers, veggies, olives...you know the drill.Grilling the pizzas isn't rocket science, but there's obviously some care that needs to be taken. Too hot and you'll burn the bottoms and since you can't flip them, you have to be careful. I've found that grilling them over indirect/low heat with high heat on the opposite side works best. I like mine a little more done and the older your grill, the more flavor you'll incorporate into the final product. Lastly, my wife and I swear that the pizzas we make the next day with the leftover crusts are better than the pizzas we make the same day. I'm sure that's all in our head as I can't imagine that 'aging' the dough changes the taste, but we've done this a few times now and a day or two or three after we originally make them seems to add to the flavor. :shrug:ETA: Revised above. Missed a step regarding the dough. It's been sitting out on the stove in zip lock bags. I guess to breathe? Pictures sent via text.Double Edit: Just talked to the wife, I'm way off on the dough process. There's another step or two I'm missing (SUPPLIES!) so wife will write down the official recipe later and I'll post it.
how do you grill on each side without flipping them?
I didn't do a very good job explaining this I guess, but...you grill the crusts on both sides BEFORE you make the pizzas. I'll post pictures later.

Looking forward to it! By the way, will be cracking open an Oregon beer tomorrow night and will give a review of it. Just might post a pic of me in the shirt with the beer. I just want you to know that this will be considered blasphemy by my fellow Aggies. But gotta live dangerously.

Ha! I figured an Oregon shirt would be okay for an Aggie fan. Everybody loves Oregon!

Maybe movie musicals are more your speed. Les Mis probably coming out soon on DVD.
 watching that with wife right now... What a sad piece of Hollywood crapfest.
Yikes, I can't picture you sitting through this one, GB. Actually, I can. I bet it's a lot like enduring your first and only Coors Light. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I married the perfect woman. The next chick flick we watch together will be our first. She's watched more NCAA games this week than I have. And Les Mis? She had no idea what it was until I turned on the Oscars last month.

Congrats GB. Your Ducks might go all the way. Strong team.
Thanks buddy! I didn't get a chance to watch too much of it, but they put it away early. The Ducks had no business being a 12 seed, but that chip on their shoulder has paid off. Huge slight by the selection committee, especially considering they made UCLA a #6. :loco: It's been a long time since Oregon was basketball relevant, so this is pretty cool.

stupid Ducks probably cost most of us boatloads today, but congrats
Yeah, that blows man, sorry. Wasn't sure why that was a Boatload Bet of the day...is St. Louis a basketball powerhouse or something? Gonzaga can take a knee a blow me. Destroyed all my brackets. Bets for tomorrow?
I don't follow this sport closely at all, but St. Louis seemed really good all year.I was dumb enough to bet on them in the 2nd half too.Even worse was betting Butler at +1.5 only to see the line move to +2 a few minutes later, and then see them choke away the game and lose by 2 points.Awful day for betting on teams from the A-10.

I closed my SB account after the Superbowl, so I'm betting through JTC who is on a bender in Reno. It's been...spotty. But I'm up after today, thanks to that ridiculous back door cover by Cal. Ready to press my luck.

Just turned on SNL. I have zero clue who the guy hosting is. I'm completely out of touch with the world.
I think it's a repeat, but wasn't it Adam Levine? Lead singer of Maroon 5.
I turned it off, but yeah, that's who it is. Why would they have the lead singer of a terrible band as a host? Was the guy from Train busy? Oh, Cameron Diaz did a cameo. Is there anything worse than middle aged white women talking like ghetto street walker in an attempt to sound funny? Awful.

So I just bought my plane ticket to Cincy so that me and Guster can see the Derby. More than slightly annoyed with the rest of you that you haven't done the same yet.

Hey, if any of you guys are feeling bad about your life....

I pissed the bed last night. :bag: Never done it before, but I figure 39 is the perfect age to start doing ^^^^ like that.

BTW SLB, the kid that's the shortstop for the Cards...can't think of his name right now. Anyway, this broad that works with me is his aunt. Supercool chick and they're really tight. Big freaky German chick, so you guys would get along great.

Anyway, I'm thinking if you want some autographed crap or would want to get on the field or in the locker room or something, I might be able to make that happen.

I would clearly need a long-distance handy from Pepper, even though I'm still convinced she hates me. All good though...a hate-jerk is even better than a regular one. :pickle:

Here the NY Times recipe for grilled pizza that we've been using for 10 year.It explains the process very well. We do the one with prosciutto, figs and goat cheese with a little olive oil - it's incredible.

:lmao: Yeah, we've actually had a few beers after work in her office before, but that's happened organically. Where we had meetings end, and she's like "i need a drink" or whatever, and we shoot the breeze. Anyway, I'm not really not worried about screwing around. At best, I like the thought of it more than actually doing it. Anyway, I just sent her a note that said "you still interested in happy hour? I may take a run to the store to get beer/wine." She wrote back: "Absolutely! I think drinking may be all I'm good for at this point."
Update?
Woke up with a raging headache yesterday morning. Jesus, I drank a little (a lot) too much.Nothing untoward happened, but had some interesting conversation. Will update a little more later. I've got to prep for my sex-ed class that I teach on Sundays.

A. Please tell me the bold isn't shtick.B.This whole situation reminds me of my danger zone interactions with that sexy English professor awhile back.

(Only I put the brakes on before we had drinks.)

So with the family away I hit the netflix and ended up watching Glengary Glen Ross for the first time.I don't get it. I mean, Pacino was :moneybag: but David Mamet took an all star cast and made them insult each other uncreatively for 120 minutes. Is this what real life stressed out salesman sound like? Somehow I got roped into running the bracket pool at work (ok I volunteered - I love that shtit) and in the email for the payouts I put 2nd place - set of steak knives, 3rd place - you're fired. So some yutz replies to me with the link to that scene in the movie.. thanks, guy, I didn't realize it was from a movie  . But it was the owner's son so I just ignored it. Then some broad who doesn't get it drives it into the ground by asking what 4th and 5th place get and if I need prize donations. God I hate people. On the good news front, I will be getting a promotion and a 30-40% raise. So I got that going for me, which is nice. (please don't send me Caddyshack clip)
