Right. Genie works nothing like that.through a series of tubesDo you know how the internet works?I am curious about the "no wires" shtick.I don't have a DVR.It's like a DVR on steroids. Can record up to 5 live shows at once, can get picture in picture, and has a ton of storage space. The Genie DVR in my living room is also connected with the HD DVR in my bedroom via wi-fi network so can watch shows on either tv.Explain the genie to me.Haven't had any weather outages from my directv service in years and the Genie is the best thing ever

I got to about 1.3 and checked into rehab for a new addiction to hard scotch all hours of the day and smoking.Watched episiode 1.1 of Mad Men last night. Interesting enough for me to stick with it.
And while I enjoy a slow paced show which allows me to ponder the gravity of the plot I felt like I had dropped Quaaludes and was sitting in quicksand. Certainly didn't dislike it, but never could get into it. But boy, am I into Wires. And how.

and fantastic story telling by that guyGet ready for me to refer to the horses as "amazing athletes".
Does this mean you guys are in??I am so in.I need to get on the ball, but the plan is to:0. go out in Cincy on Friday night and get drunk,%, crash at my place,3- hop on a bus in the morning to the derbyfour: drink heavilyV> watch horses run in circles from the infield while drinking heavily2*(4-1) = hop on a bus and drink our way homese7en. drink some more at my place8. sunday start with mimosas and/or bloody mary's as we watch the marathon runners go bynein, bbq?10. profit, definitely profit I'm reaching out to some local friends to see if they would be interested in joining. If I can get enough people, then we could hire our own bus, otherwise we'll grab seats on a big party bus with strangersI believe so. I had originally planned on doing the same, but my mom had her health issues. She's doing swimmingly now, so this may be back on the table provided I don't get violated on the flight. Are these guys actually going to the Kentucky Derby this year or am I misinterpreting something?Notorious T.R.E. said:Thorn/Guster - What is your Derby weekend strategy? Worth watching, 3 out of 4 stars for an action film. Definitely better than Taken 2 and as entertaining as Skyfall. But some missed opportunities for a filmmaker of Stone's ability.Watched "Savages". Enoyed it more than I thought. But...
Stone could have made a decent little action movie that got a B+ score at the theater and made some money. But it's like he made that film and then decided, "I'm oliver stone....this can't be the movie I make!" So he added the rape scene for no apparent reason and took an acceptable ending and tacked on a second ending that was nowhere near satisfying and lacked imagination. Like usual, Del Toro makes a sensational villain. He's really unlikeable and seeing him get his becomes more important then seeing the dealer-duo get out alive (IMO). In one ending, the director tries too hard to let all three of our heros get a shot at the villain. Then in the"real" ending, he gets to drive off while the entire southern fleet of the DEA swoops in and ignores him?
The first ending is stupid as well if for no other reason then the fact that John was outfitted with 12 vials of morphine for a prisoner swap? Even putting that aside, there is no way that was their plan; trading hostages and ending up in the exact same spot they were before with a ticked off drug lord after them. So they were still planning to run to Indonesia after all that? They were going to take an evil drug lord at her word that even though they stole 3 million dollars, killed 7 of her men, and put her daughter in a fridge that she would keep to her word and wouldn't end up beheading them?
A better ending would have been a combo of the two wherein John and Rufus (forgot his name) coordinate with Dennis to have the lady arrested so they can go on with their lives. Similarly unimaginable but very Hollywood andit would have made it a goodflick.
If Stone wanted to make something "edgy" he should have explored how two rich 28 year olds are fine with sharing a woman. Why not make them homosexuals as well? Make a movie about people who are committed to each other in every way rather than a movie about two dissimilar guys who don't mind sharing a girl? That didn't work for me. Just make her one of the guy's sister and one of the guy's girlfriend.
And the existential stuff with Ophelia narrating about Savages while walking on the beach was dumb. Once again, seems like Stone wasn't satisfied just making an action movie. The editing was also awful as we learn the definition of IED about 4 times in ninety seconds.

I wonder how much the local contractors have to do with this? I've had the exact opposite experience as you. I only lose Dish signal in a major storm or the one time we got an ice storm and I had a layer of slush dish. Signal immediately came back. Our first DVR hard drive started failing and I was sent another right away. The only beef I have is I only get Fox Sports OH because of how close to Cincy I am and some UK games were blacked out on alternate channels that my package said I should have.On the other hand, my in-laws had so much trouble with their DirectTV equipment and signal that they went back to cable in under 6 months. This was my experience as well. Anything above a light rain would cause intermittent interference.Dish is awful. It was fair to say that every time it rained there was at least some sort of interference. DirectTV owns.

Good stuff but it's not racist. They picked cotton and learned how it was made, just because ancestors were forced to do it back in the day doesn't mean it's racist, just poor planning knowing of the backlash that might happen. Also, poor parenting as well as she signed off on it.TOTALLY NOT SAFE FOR WORK/SENSITIVE PEOPLE (profanity and racial language)

Oh, okay...everybody gets to bag on for some of the ridiculous things up post up in here while I largely remain silent and suddenly I have to calm down and relax when I'm just trying to point out the silliness of your comment. It was a little mock outrage, but I guess I'll calm down and restrain myself from busting your balls on here.Calm down. You essentially just tried to compare Rosanne Barr, Rosie O'Donnell and Heidi Klume because all three have a ######.Relax. I was talking about style. U turn is terrible. Any given Sunday has a couple moments but is largely awful. Platoon is excellent. But it's not a stretch to see elements of all three that tie them to the same director.
Oh, that's not hard to do, I'm an idiot. Fishing me is like screwing a prostitute.GM-i think you got fished in BigBottoms thread.
