GM's thread about nothing (20 Viewers)

Your rep told you 3-4 weeks?
Yes, what a dickmitten. The problem is all of the item numbers are different there. I have a computer program that could knock this out in 20 minutes here in the States. ETA Plus their Canadian website doesn't run the same software as the American version. Their search function sucks Frosty's balls.
If the info is available on the web, set it up in mechanical Turk and get it done by Monday. By the way, what does your company do for I/t management? :scared:

We have our own employees, the head IT guy is an owner.

If joe and David hasn't fired me two weeks ago they would have tomorrow. My qb1 of this draft class didn't get drafted at all. :bag:

I was just telling Mrs. SLB about how cool Dylan is to hang around. Then she tells me about his soccer game last week that I missed because I was taking Cal to the doctor. He was playing goal and there was a goalie kick. He ran up to the ball to kick it, stopped short and yelled haha. :lmao: So awesome..

Your little guys are awesome. I hope mine grow up to be that cool.

<- this guy posted about t-ball. And :lmao: :lmao:

SLB > I've been so long gone from the motherland that I barely remember the character. From what my 6 year old self recalls, yes, they're much more easy going. I remember my mother, a Georgian by birth (U.S., not them terrorist Russians), saying that Canadians were like Southerners without the racism. No offense, YSR.

Notes on Date Night last night -

1. Empire Brewery Co. beer sucks.

1a. I tried their Black Magic Stout. It tastes like Guinness with a crappy twang of some nut or spice that didn't work at all.

1b. I tried their IPA. Awful all around. Had to force myself to finish it.

1c. Tried some coffee flavored stout. It sucked so bad I left half of it on the table when we left. And I'm a huge fan of Founder's Breakfast Stout. But this Empire Co. stuff was nasty.

2. The people watching was fantastic though. People of Syracuse, NY: you have no sense of style. Just because your hometown team is The Orange doesn't mean you make a city-wide style statement with bad tanning bed skin. At one point I looked over at the wife and said , "This place has a precarious lack of elegance." Mucho giggles.

3. Text we received halfway through dinner from my student/babysitter:

Your son is so adorable. He likes to cuddle doesn't he? Watching The Hobbit now.

Quickly followed by,

OMG your son is putting the moves on me

Apparently he cuddled up next to her to watch the movie, then yawned, stretched his arms wide, and let one drop around her waist. :lmao:

I'm so screwed when that kid turns 13.

Hurting. Was good to see Bogart and Disco Stu yesterday, unfortunately at separate times. Ladies still love them some Disco Stu. :lmao:

Final tally:

Drank 582 beers from 10AM until 1AM.

Went through 3 packs of cigarettes.

Lost my wallet.

Made a bad decision at the end of the night. Doing day long drinking events with co-workers is not a good idea. :bag:

We were just looking at a squirrel outside the window and I told my little girl "Squirrels eat people you know" and she said "No they don't, they eat nuts. Geese eat people."

Awesome :lmao:

Got a new phone last week. Didn't know that now I get amber alerts, which have a different tone than everything else. Not to be a jerk about it, but I really don't want to be woken up by some strange beeping sounds at 3:30 in the morning because someone is having a domestic dispute in Montana.

Pete's prayers are answered: me and my sweater vest collection have a real job.
Congrats Colin!

Really cool guy. Spent three tours in Vietnam as well as Desert Storm. His full time "job" is helping the Scouts now....

Dylan was supposed to have a baseball game so much to his dismay, I grabbed him left. A shower never felt so good. Took him to eat at Bob Evan's and he rightly pointed out that "this is A LOT better than camping!".
That's why I don't go camping...Nam flashbacks.

Dylan is wise beyond his years.
He was REALLY pissed to find out that we were leaving but I'm 99.2% sure that was just because they were going to make pancakes. The kid annihilates pancakes. After explaining the alternative, he was more than happy to leave. He ven shared his bacon with me because I didn't have any. Good kid.
How many times do you go on these things before you start bringing your own food?

Doodling around AO this morning. Cos is still an awesome cook and host.
So awesome.

Migas? :porked:
I was talking about Cos's migas at work this week. So good
If only there was some format where these positive comments could be captured for marketing to new customers

Oh wait

Maybe there is something
Cos, just tried PMing you.
Not received.

Cleaned out my inbox here and pm'ed you my digits.

Got it. Thx.

The rub I use for smoking pork looks almost identical to the date sugar my wife has, and we store them in the same cabinet.

Guess who made two pork butts rubbed with date sugar? :bag:

Romo in Mobile, AL all week. FDAS or others, any must-see/eat places (he's near the airport)? His time is pretty limited, so no trips to Dauphin or anything.

We had to bring dinner and lunch, they just made breakfast the one morning. I can't believe 5 families decided to stick it out and stay Saturday night too. Out.Of.Their.Minds.

Out by the airport? The Beau Rivage is 50 minutes west. Several great seafood joints just east of downtown on the causeway. Also out on the causeway is the Blue Gill. live music on the bay, fun bar. The Shed BBQ is out west, near USA's campus. I think there is still a pickle fish pizza out by campus as well, good local pizza.

So my buddy had a BBQ yesterday...friends from college I don't see that often came out, great time was had by all...My one friend and I were up late talking int he backyard until about 4 AM when he went to bed. I went downstairs to my buddy's basement apartment to crash on his couch, and my shoes, a bit wet from the yard, went out from under me on the stairs. I;m talking comic pratfall, slip on a banana peel, legs out from under someone.

I landed HARD on my right side and ####ed my shoulder up something fierce. Then my head hit the stairs and opened up a cut about an inch and half long that bled like a stuck pig. I bled all over my buddy's stairwell and managed to drag myself onto the couch to pass out. Wake up this morning with a raging headache, a shoulder that doesn't work and a forensic scene that wouldn't be out of place on Dexter. Just blood everywhere.

Ouch.

Self medicating with some V&V (Vodka and Vicodin)

Happy Sunday!

Oof, hope you feel better GB. Shoulder injury sucks and lingers for a very long time. Take care of it!

Let's go no casino for now. Otherwise, great suggestions. Any idea if this Shed location is as good as the original is/was supposed to be?

:pickle: Keep at it, Uruk.
>That's great news UH! Congrats!
Thanks, guys. I really think I'm too ornery to croak (a bad cell meaner than I can have me). I'm shaking, though, thinking how close I was to quitting. I may still lose, but right now I feel great. I'm not so sold on good thoughts on making ill folks better, but I'm MORE sold on it now
So I'm way behind here, but just want to say how awesome this is. When you talk about positive thoughts, I know you're talking about the Ravens Super Bowl.

So, in other words, this is just another miracle we can chalk up to Saint Ray. Did he lay his hands on you? That would explain it.
