GM's thread about nothing (15 Viewers)

My good deed for the day:

While I actually decided to do this b/c I was tired of getting Gadzooks and Guster confused, schtick is highly encouraged
:tebow:

This is precisely the sort of demented #### that make this place great. Outstanding work, TF.

I may not go to work tomorrow. :cracksknuckles:

Valcheck is in my top-10. Guy really wants to pay for that stained glass window at church.
I can't get enough Frank Sobotka, though I think he studied the Jack Nicholson bar scene in "Shining" extensively to master the look of evil lurking behind a sinister smile. Less Ziggy for me too. And is Nick Sobotka played by Ben Affleck? I
No. I think the guy from Argo plays Nick

:lmao: IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: The underappreciated Season 2 of Wires is underappreciated. I think it's more interesting than Season 1.
We just finished episode 8. We've been absolutely slammed of late, so if we get 2 episodes in per week, we're doing fabulous. But I agree with you completely. I LOVE these union guys, the Greeks and especially like how they got the band back together. Also, lots more bosoms!@!!!111
I just finished episode 6 yesterday. love the union guys, too. Also, the father-in-law to the one police, also a Polish type, who was in the first season but not that much, is a fantastic actor, just perfect for this role. Also also, Amy Ryan is a great actress. I nearly cried when they got the band back together, too.
Season 4 is probably my favorite season, but 2 is actually pretty close. I remember not liking it for the majority of the time I was watching it, and then around about episode 8 or 9, I was hooked. Since then I've rewatched the entire series several times and it really holds up IMO.

Major Valchek? He's awesome. Loved it when he called those worthless cops 'Humps'. :lmao:
Yeah, Valchek. I have a hard time remembering people's names on here. Fantastic character, and I LOVE the bit with the stained glass window. I'm with y'all on Frank Sobotka, too. He just has the perfect look and demeanor for that part; great character. Nick is a little like a poor man's Ben Affleck. We also have a poor man's Gene Hackman (Rawls) and poor man's John Goodman (Landsman) on the show. (I had to ask Mr. krista both these names. I really am bad with this.) I sent Mr. krista into seemingly unending fits of laughter by asking him if Stringer Bell is generally considered good looking. I guess that was a dumb question. I sometimes have weird taste and thought maybe it was just me.
Mmm, Stringer Bell...
OK, every time he's onscreen now I realize how stupid my question was.

no drinking 2 days a week has been fine for the most part, though I did have a vodka water one of my fast days. No major cravings almost a month in for teh boozes, but yes, I very much would like a cold beer right now.....

And if I keep this 5/2 fast diet thingee up for a whole year, that's 104 days of no or very limited drinking. That's like 4 months. Seems like a lot. :oldunsure:
Then change the makeup of your diet. I drink every day and I'm firmly in the middle of average on BMI. The important thing is to not eat a whole cake or bag of Cheetos when you're drinking. Nothing pisses me off more than anti-booze weight loss Nazis. For example, 9 Paulaners and 1 serving of Chili's molten chocolate cake have the same amount of calories.

Does a "self propelled" mower make that much of a difference? How much time does it save?
It saves zero time, it's just easier. Especially if your lawn isn't flat.

I bought self propelled, because I wanted my 9 year old (now 10) to mow. That's also why I bought electric. Don't have to worry about gas, oil, etc. And just push a button to start the thing.

self-propelled does away with a lot of the pushing. you just have to walk with it.

I like how we're throwing around UniAlias like we should know who this guy is.
best I can tell is he hangs with Stu. otherwise, I got nothing.
:lmao:

GB Uni has really shot up the rankings the past nine months.
Spoke too soon? Little buddy missed the cut for the drop-down menu in the notebook thingy.
I think TG did it by total number of posts, and Uni hasn't been around to top the 8 or so combined aliases of Tanner and me.

He needs to be added IMO

Even though I'm getting back into summer shape, I refuse to stop drinking. Crossing that line is unhealthy, IMO - unhealthy for stress, fun, etc. So I continue drinking; I just don't eat anything else crappy. And I don't drink as often as you drunks anyway. ;)

A few beers/glasses of wine three nights a week doesn't make much of a difference if you're eating healthy and exercising regularly. Hell, you can get royally bombed one night a week and it's generally ok as long as you don't pig out on pizza and crap while hammered and stick to exercising.

They can take my chili dogs, but they will never take my IPA. :football:

Heading out to pick Thorn up from the airport with Tre and PV a couple hours and several beers behind.

Poor Uni will have some catching up to do!

My wife was busting my balls after my first P90X workout because I walked into the kitchen while she was making dinner and popped open a bottle of wine.

"I'm guessing most people don't do that when they start a new workout routine."

"Well, those people are stupid."

I actually think it takes longer. I hated using the self-propelled back in the day because it slowed me down.

I moved where there's no grass just so I wouldn't have to mow*. My lawnmower these days is a rake.

*No Homer. This sentence has nothing to do with girls.

Is it possible you're thinking of Pop Rocks? 'Cause putting mentos into a vag would be strange.
