GM's thread about nothing (29 Viewers)

From Yandek's interview with Pat Summerall:

CY: You needed a new kidney to live and you did get the transplant, but how close do you feel physically before you got the transplant that your life might be over and that we might not be having this conversation right now?

PS: “Well, I didn’t need a kidney. I need a liver.”

CY: Excuse me. Yeah.
I don't get it.
Because, you know....Summerall is like, dead, right? Is Yandek getting interviews from beyond the grave? And let's say this is before his death...he wouldn't really give this guy a real interview, right? This is schtick, no? A Bigbottom/Slipperslope or Studs & Duds type fishing trip, right? Kige Ramsey? It's fake like wrestling? Serious question.

God, I thought the guy was part of this staff. :bag: Course if Dowling can make it, it's not THAT far fetched. ;)
1. I'm 90% sure he interviewed Pat before he died.

2. The original question is totally bizarre "what does it feel like, physically, when you're about to die?"

3. He confuses liver and kidney and Pat has to correct him

4. It's not shtick. CY is, what we like to say in education, "somewhere on the spectrum".
That all makes sense, thank you.

Just not sure how this monkey got up the ladder to interview a dying legend. Seems askew.

What got into johnnycakes with that horrible crime scene photo in the I'm Freaked Out thread?
Asked and answered.
I didn't know he was that dooshy.
I don't think it is dooshism. He's a full bubble off.
Do we know if he's married at all?
:lmao: Dude is the proudest purchaser of a Chinese wife in history.

BTW, my post (obliquely referencing that photo) about how he married a Chinese woman and could be on his seventh such wife for all we know, got deleted. Did he complain?
I don't know, and I'm not the type that wants people banned, but that was waaaaaay uncool of him. And he's still posting today.
I honestly think the reaction was a little overboard. Just don't look at it.
The text on the link didn't prepare you for what was on there. I was on my phone in the waiting room of my accountant. Not cool if for some reason someone saw it over my shoulder. People read threads on their laptops at home, computers at work.

My wife wants to have a 3rd kid. Our girls are 5 and 3 and they are very good kids. I would like to have another kid if I was promised that it would turn out great like the first 2 but I'm worried the odds are we would have a hellion.
How are you going to stop her if she wants a third one?
Well I don't know. I mean brown dotting is an effective option on occasion, I could get a secret snip job but I don't think that's a very good idea for the marriage to make that decision behind her back. Or I could just say no but she won't go on the pill (she gets sick when on birth control) so I would have to wrap it up or risk the pull out method.
Tell her you contracted herpes before you married her.

If a bathroom door is closed, would you ever just open it without knocking?
A co-worker walked in on me sitting on the throne this morning. The men's room on my floor only has a single toilet in it and I locked the door. Apparently the lock doesn't catch right because my over-anxious co-worker rather easily opened the door and saw me in my glory.

I'm guessing that that door has an automatic closer (whatever that thing's called), so it's always going to be closed.

If so, sorry pal, but that's on you.

Poop 'n' Toss or were you just going number 2?

Yes it's always closed, but still, you don't know if someone is in there. I've never opened that door without knocking.

Here's a business idea:

People with houses on the market pay you to put a "staging consultant" in their house. This person does not pay rent to the homeowner but watches the house and pays utilities. You can get the homeowner to pay you several hundred dollars up front and then a back-end fee of $1300-2000 depending upon how quickly they find a buyer for their house. AND you can get the staging consultants to pay you a fee to find them these houses where they can stay for free! AND if certain other things happen, like the consultant has to get out of the house in less than 28 days because of a quick closing, you can score another few thousand dollars.

Oh wait, this already exists, and my realtor is talking me into doing it. :wall:

At least the raft was pink, so we know he's not gay.
Not only that, that means the raft was asking for it.

In another case I'd say he was gonna get off, but you know what I mean.
Are we sure all 5 rafts were pink? Its possible that he was born bi-raftual.
Good point. Probably not the same raft every time. I'd assume the prior rafts were taken into protective custody.

And here's a guy with a history of having sex with rafts. Do you arrest him if he's just blowing one up?

Strange question...

Can you fly in a commercial plane and check a bag that contains a metal urn with cremated remains inside said urn? I have my grandfathers remains and we would like to scatter him in the Sierra Mountains outside of June Lake where both my dad and grandmothers ashes were scattered. I want to drive the urn out there and back. My wife thinks it would be better to fly, taking 2 days off the travel and giving us more time there. We live in Chicago.

I don't know. Call the airline and ask.

I'm curious about the answer though as we (siblings) want to scatter my mom's ashes in the ocean, and they're currently in CO where she died.

True story.

When my grandma passed she was living in Little Rock. She grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and all the family plots are up here. My dad and all his brothers and sisters wanted to have the funeral service up here but did not want to go through the hassle of having her body shipped in a coffin, or have someone drive her back up here. They decided to cremate her in Little Rock and then FedEx'd the ashes in the urn to our house. I am not sure what they put down as the contents of the package or what kind of insurance they took out on it. Would have sucked if they lost my grandma.

So, FedEx the ashes to the hotel you are going to stay at.

Or send it to Arid Filch's old house and pick it up from there.

Might as well send yourself some jerky and pedialyte while you're at it.
