GM's thread about nothing (31 Viewers)

I skim a lot these days. Did we ever get GM's nanny's recipe for pizza dough? I think I want to grill a pizza tomorrow.

(also, sauce recipes would be welcome - don't want to go jarred sauce)
I feel like we've asked for this multiple times with limited success.

Hello friends. Posting live from a NiN concert where I referred to them as a "Johnny Cash cover band" and the entire row behind us now hates me. Trolling is fun.

Hard to grasp the idea people don't like me.
People are idiots. There are worse things in the world than being a Johnny cash cover band.

Official review of The Crow (even though I still have 30 minutes left to go).

Meh. Not bad. Not great.

What IS great, however, is the last few pages of the Seedish Fish thread. OMG there's another MoP! It's glorious!

The crow is infuriating to me because there was a lot of potential. A lot. But ultimately it became the movie where the dude died and a cool stp song played. Meh. "The crow: wicked prayer" is the second or third version of the Film and is substantially more entertaining.

Where does one go to buy TVs these days? I went to the Best Buy showroom today to look around, but where do I purchase?

Pretty sure he said its a family secret and we're SOL
No, I'll get it. It's just that my wife doesn't feel the same urgency I do to get this recipe to you all. And, she doesn't 'do' measurements. I think I'm just going to film her the next time she does it.

Used turmeric tonight in my chicken rub. Feel healthier already.
Yeah! Rub that chicken, son!
You know, I washed it first, rinsing it off slowly in warm water after removing the legs first, then the breast from it's taught and restrictive dressing. I patted the legs down first with a dry cloth, careful not to damage the skin. I moved on to the breasts with both hands working in concert with one another, gentle but with attention to every delicious part. And then I rubbed. And I rubbed, legs first, with firm squeezing towards the meatiest parts, missing nothing. By the time I rubbed the breasts, the temperature was getting so hot.....

Decided to go see movies tomorrow for the first time in ages.

Mr. krista offered a deal: if I go see Gravity in IMAX, he will go see "whatever bleak Persian movie, filmed in Sweden, you want, about a one-armed cab driver who paints frozen tears".

:lmao: Sounds about right.

I can't see IMAX movies. Took my family to one a few years ago about penguins or icebergs or some such and ran out of the theater with my hand covering my vomit hole. It was brutal.

Uh oh. I get really carsick...would IMAX be a problem? I did see one about tornados or something once and felt kind of woozy.

BTW: Drinking Rockstar and store-brand bourbon. One more and I'll be able to see through time but it will be all distorted and cheap as ####.
We still lo-carbing it? I fasted like Dom Deluise at a Vegas buffet last week. :bag:
Yes. Had a big "cheat weekend" in Palm Springs last Sat-Mon but back on it Tues. Minus 37 lbs this AM even after that. Of course I am exercising more than I have in 20 years.

I'm down to 194 (ish) after being 230 back at the end of June.

Goal: Eventually to hit 168#.

Bonus points to whoever knows why 168.

Because that's how many Rebels you killed in the Civil War?

I got a little woozy as a kid seeing an IMAX film about the Grand Canyon. That was back when vomiting was a BIG DEAL...you know, pre-booze/drugs/tobacco....But I just figured I was a wuss and that was a one off. Nope, 25 years later, it still makes me queasy. And I don't get car sick or sea sick or sick sick. IMAX is like swallowing chew spit for me.

Well, I know it's not your age in dog years...
