Baseball question: does anyone else find it odd that perhaps the best second baseman of all time played for 8 teams (7 different) over a 16 year career and only once stayed anywhere for more than 3 consecutive seasons (a four year stint with Toronto)?

by all means don't say his name.

Gonna guess Roberto Alomar, though the math is a little MOPish and the reasoning behind his nomadic career is steeped in his assssholic behavior.

And he's pretty ####### far from the best 2B of all time. HOFer? Yes. GOAT? No.And GM is right, he's a #####.

Also, I think it's a wristband, but for you, I'm sure it works as a #### ring.

I was in the middle of a bunch of #### when the package came, so I just opened it really quick to see what it was. I saw "topper" on the package and something that resembled a "ring", so I just thought it was something to put on a drink to identify whose it was. When I looked back, I realized it was a "hanger cord"

Since nobody has b itched yet I'll talk more HS football. If you are bored go to the Bakersfield High wikipedia page and check out the athletics section. Pretty insane. And they just scratch the surface. BHS was so good/big back pre-1960s they used to play USC's freshman team...and win.

Just picked up a couple of packages from the UPS center. Looks like secret santa was very generous this year. Got a nice cutting block and a sweet set of Swiss knives. Guess this means I need to start cooking more and learn how to use a knife better so I don't stab myself.

Insurance only lets us do 1 or 2 ultrasounds unless there's a problem, but luckily the wife's aunt is an ultrasound tech for high risk pregnancies, so we are getting a black market one this weekend when we are out that way for Xmas.

Big congrats to Leeroy and 1/2 congrats to Pack. Pack, sounds scary but mostly good news. Please keep us in the loop on what's going on.

Just remembered something from my school/work Xmas party last week.

I work with this weird younger guy who teaches math. He's a decent guy and not a bad teacher but he's got some strange social skills. It's hard to explain I guess.

So anyway we're all sitting around, drinking, and talking about booze. This young guy, we'll call him Ivan because he was born in Russia, starts talking about his taste in booze. He says that he only drinks the coconut flavored rum from Costco. He was talking about it like it was something sophisticated.

Ivan: I only drink the Costco version of Malibu rum.

Me: Costco version of Malibu? What's it called? Pismo?

I hate to interject with a reasonable response here, but Angrywife and I alternate Saturdays. So at this point, one of us would be well aware that we were going to have to deal with JR & Yuke at 6:30 and adjust drinking pace accordingly (or be ready to deal with the consequences).

Just to be more clear, I wasn't a FFT poster (though I had an account there and likely posted a very few times) but knew a few of the nicer sorts from an offshoot board where I was a mod. Still great friends with a bunch of folks from there; great spot. I also knew flysack before here from TheDanZone(?) and that other board.

Also, no hat has arrived yet, though I'm sure I didn't pay for the expedited shipping. (hahahaha, no expedited shipping was available; this was again a reference to how I paid much more than anyone else for a hat, hahahaha)
