Just practically yelled at a woman at the grocery store. I took my daughter with me to pick my son up from Lego camp and we ran in to get a few things. My kids were milling about while I was getting some produce. Nothing out of the ordinary, just playing near the cart. Well some old lady just looked so disgusted because they were in her way. I told them to move then said sorry to her.
She didn't acknowledge me and started walking away. I said, "Sorry". Still no response. I start walking after her and go "I SAID SORRY".
She looks at me like I'm crazy and goes "okay, okay".
"Well you didn't have to be rude and completely ignore me. I WAS TRYING TO APOLOGIZE".
Looking forward to a few beers, but I'm taking my son fishing with scouts, so I'll have to wait.
Had another of these incidents today. Took the kids to see Frozen. We grabbed seats and I went to get popcorn. Whoever manages this place must not have realized kids were off school. Two lines for concessions, extremely long. After already waiting for some time, they open up another line. Like 80% of the people in my line start going over there, and then when everyone realized how quickly it was filling, then kind of eased back into our line, and chaos ensued. I had to back up a step and I hear an "OWWWW!".
I turn around. "Oh, I'm sorry".
Old lady: "
You stepped on my toe!"
shuke: "I'm sorry".
lady: "That was a broken toe, it was broken [babble babble]"
shuke: "
I said I was sorry"
lady: "It hurt"
shuke: "Well maybe you shouldn't be standing 1 inch behind me".
lady: "
I WAS PUSHED"
I just laughed and turned back around. Sometimes I hate people.
Later, like 15 minutes later, while still in line (we really like popcorn), she's down on one knee. Guy behind her asks if she needs to sit down and she starts going on, all agitated with him, "No, it's just the crowd. I can't handle crowds. The crowd the crowd..."
