GM's thread about nothing (69 Viewers)

apparently we're currently experiencing a buddy system malfunction. mine forgot to tell me about Moaning of Life.

i've got my techs on it.

Big fan of this evil nerd Zack. And guess what? He's from Minnesota! :excited:
Olympics just started on the West Coast. By "started" I mean 35 straight minutes of bull ####.
I'm not watching, but I'm sure it falls under the category of "human interest vignettes", amirite?
Right on cue. I've got it on in the background and they're showing women's slope snowboarding or something. One chick, right before her run, hugs a tree. Not a euphemism. She hugs a tree. Then they jump to her vignette.

Just show the g-dam sports.

Never understood Michael Douglas sacrificing a bunny to screw Glen Gross Close when he had hot Anne Archer at home.
This.

Before we ever saw the movie, my first wife and I were discussing this. Pre-internet, of course, but that movie had as much buzz as any in its era. Anyway, I remember telling my wife I could see no way a guy would have an affair with Close when he's got Anne Archer at home. She said (straight face): "maybe he loves her". Then we saw the movie and she said - maybe for the only time ever - "you're right".

Hell, I thought Close was more attractive in the recent Damages than she was in the 80s/90s.

The 80's had some odd looking "beautiful women". I mean, Darryl Hannah? WTF?

Agreed. Bud fox couldn't do better than that as a young millionaire in manhattan?

Haven't heard from the recruiter since Tuesday late. The guy I interviewed with is traveling and they know I was going to be "out" the rest of the week due to the baby. Anyone with a suggestion on following up today? Can I send an email or leave it alone until Monday?

Just show up on Monday as if you've been hired. You can work on the Penske file.

For the last 5 minutes, I've been playing my favorite game...Is Today Thursday or Friday?

I know I can just check, but that feels like cheating. I'm going with Thursday. Final answer.
