GM's thread about nothing (86 Viewers)

Not to take away from the epic DSP shot video, but I have a question for the parents in here.

Earlier today, I walked into the room where my 7.5 month old was sitting in her bouncer. She was completely rigid, legs straight out, and her hands/arms were shaking as if she was having a tremor.

She's done it once since then.

The Internet - usually the worst place to go with questions like these - seems to think this is no big deal, and we're really not alarmists, but I'll be honest: it's scary to witness.

Anyone have a kid with these types of incidents?
Serious question, was she trying to push out a poop?

If not, I'd make an appointment with the pediatrician.
Entirely possible. She's on a solid food supplement at this point, which I hear makes babies constipated. She's been on it for months, though, with no issues. I wondered if that was it, but it's still really unnerving. Thank you for the inout.Yuke had a few of those and we thought they might be seizures. Ended up going to the ER and hooking him up to electrodes and everything. It turned out to just be severe reflux. He was on some reflux med for six months. No trouble since then.

GD - Sorry you and your family are going through all that. Good luck.

YSR - Nothing to offer but good luck and I hope it's nothing.

GM - Cool pic of your son on the facebooks.

Tanner - Fun link, wife is not happy though as I didn't do much today.

My plan for the evening has commenced. Re-watching the first three episodes of True Detective, followed up by the new one that airs later.

Bought an 18-pack earlier, and actually went back into the store to get another one cause I knew 18 wasn't gonna be enough. Be prepared, I always say. :banned:

Thankfully, I won't be around much for tonight's stupidity.
Yeah I'm watching True Detective tonight also, haven't seen it yet but have been looking forward to it.
Hope you dig it as much as I do. Rare for me to fall so head-over-nutsack for a show so quickly. It's a slow burn kind of show but it hooked me from the jump.
McConaghey is unbelievable. When did he become so ###### good?
I've always found him to be pretty decent in his serious roles. He's like DiCaprio or Damon - I want to hate them but they're pretty talented so I can't.

City shutdown in full effect. Out of beer. This could get ugly.
what did you try texting me?I think you butt dialed me yesterday too. voice mail was just white noise.
The sound of my people....Was looking for curling bets. :bag:
the tournament that's the most interesting this year is the women's (Russia!). Some interesting lines for tonight's action. I haven't locked it down yet, but will be going in pretty heavy
I probably won't be reposting these in this thread again (won't remember), but here's for tonight.

Women's curling:

Canada should win their matchup against China, but they have been less than perfect lately (narrow wins), so not betting them today.

Russia and Denmark has played tight matchups, but Denmark holds a slight edge with a better Euro Championship showing (beat them twice), At +120, that's worth a TV unit, because you want to watch Russia play, trust me.

Sweden -1.5 +140 is just too high of a line in a game that shouldn't be that close....

Swiss will mop the floors (no pun intended) with the US IMO, but the line is rough. I am going to play them ML with the Sweden ML for a +111 two team parlay.

Thanks GB. I couldn't parlay them on SB, but I played Denmark and Sweden. Is this on the TV tonight?
Starts 6am Pacific tomorrow...
Eggggggggggggggsellent.

I have to walk to the train tomorrow morning (first world problems) then get my car which has been parked all weekend at a Buffalo Wild Wings with about $100 worth of Montana's best beef inside of it (god I hope it's still frozen and unstolen) then amble into the office for a long day of catch-up. Will be great to turn on some curling when I get in.

Took the boys sledding today. There's some pretty steep hills where I live. I Chevy Chased them and went first down a street. Even without the experimental food additive spray, the ice and my fat assssssssss made the sled go incredibly fast. Yada yada yada, I think I owe a neighbor a new mail box and my groin is in shambles. :bag:
sorry, check my edit upthread :bag: it's 2am pacific... I'm drunk

I recommend that you threaten him with legal action for a dangerously placed mailbox and offer to not sue him if he'll just pay for his own mailbox and a new groin for you.

I don't actually recommend that from a legal standpoint, just a comedy one. Tell us about it.

Stupid employer underpaid on my state taxes. I owe $$$ to the state. At least I used the money ....NOT
I'm having H&R Block looking over my last 3 years of taxes. I guess I could have been taking some type of credit for my daughters tuition or something like that supposedly I might be able to get back like $5k that Tax Act missed, or maybe it was me but I don't remember anything like that sort of questioning.

Should be interesting to see what I missed if anything.

Dont worry folks ill be posting a chug video soon. My gf is going to help
Why don't you just have her do the shot video instead
She doesnt drink. I cant do a shot video becwuse Idont like liquor. Im going to chug two 22oz of guiness stout.

Is that good enough?
I don't trust people who don't drink bourbon.
I don't know if I'd go that far. I know plenty of women who don't like bourbon that I trust.
I can't help you if you are naturally inclined to trust women, in the first place.
SNOW SHUT IN 2014 means we've been living off of Alabama's finest smoked sausage. I love you. And your sausage. And I don't care who knows about it.
My sausage is delicious. I made jambalaya with some tonight.
Yeah, that's the first thing I made with it. Outstanding. I brought it over to a poker party where one of the players is the owner of this restaurant. He made me give him the recipe before the night was over. Told him he could try, but absent your sausage, it just wouldn't be the same.

I only have one package left. :kicksrock:

Thanks again for sending that. Totally unexpected but very appreciated.
GM - have you had to panko/bourbon encrusted brie or have you seen it served? How do they do it? Is the panko soaked in bourbon or is it drizzled on the brie? Sounds really good.

For Tre

The 2014 Kentucky Derby infield race is going to be more awesomer than ever.
:lmao:

I might actually come out of cornhole retirement for a Kentucky Derby hole.
Debry is an epic event. Great, great weekend.
Are you in too?
Can't do it. We throw a party every year we don't get derailed by family members having first communions.
Dumb

I'm going out to have some dinner at a place where the following is on the menu ( :hey: YSR):

Pitcher Of Tater Tots Or French Fries $4.95

Add Chili $2.50

Add A Side Of Brown Mushroom Or White Country Gravy $1.95

Add Jack & Cheddar $1.50

Add Sour Cream $1.00

Add Onions Or Jalapenos $0.75

Could someone please have this place cleaned up by the time I'm home? TIA.
Hopefully you got $12.65 burning a hole in yo' pocket. :hungry:
I am horribly disappointed to announce that when we got there, our preferred seating (barstools) was unavailable, and the place was so damn smoky (thanks, The South) that between lack of barstools and the smoke we decided to go elsewhere. :(

Mr. krista is this way, to the point where when I asked if The Sopranos (for which he had been lobbying) should be my next TV show, he said I should catch up right-quick on True Detective instead. He was absolutely apoplectic when it wasn't on after the Superb Owl last week.

Superb Owl is my favorite owl.

Can we not do this ifighting crap in here? Take it outside. Please.
Seriously. Sorry my question caused a stink - I even put it in a spoiler tag so as not to muddle the thread with it. Thanks to all who responded. I'm going to give our pediatrician a "just in case" call tomorrow. Don't really know what to say about the rest of it. Maybe I'll just take few days to see if our newest star burns out or fades way....
Wait, YOU were worried about muddling up the thread? Have you read the last 5 pages? Your post was like throwing a pearl into a pile of pig ####.
:goodposting: I'm going to watch the last of Breaking Bad and some Olympics and check back in here in three days. This #### better be cleared up by then.

My links don't look so much like garbage now, do they?
Always  them anyway.

An actual significant winter storm for Atlanta. Well, we did so well last time around...
Bartender at place we ended up at tonight asked if we had been out shopping for the big storm coming in (we were right by a Trader Joe's). In unison we said, "We're getting a storm?" She told us all the groceries had been mayhem today. Didn't know. I went out in a light sweater tonight as it's beautiful right now. Who knew? (apparently everyone but us)

So my daughter kind of punked me out on the facebooks yesterday posting this and saying I should get this for my birthday.
I was such a lazy genius as a child that I "invented" pills that made your farts smell good for a class. When I say "invented", I mean that I bought some Tic-Tacs. Still think it's a good idea, but I am no longer a genius, but still lazy.

Do you eat them or use them like a suppository?

These were pills you could eat and make your farts smell like oranges and mints.

My 2 year old son has a pretty good(?) habit of handing his boogers to us, instead of wiping them on furniture or eating them. Recently he decided wiping them on my shirt was a better option. Pretty sure he will be eating them soon.

Its good for a kids immune system. Lets be real, we all eat boogers every time we swallow anyway
