I see that angle. The advice I gave a month ago was for a company that was experiencing success, had capital, but faced an owner not very well organized. My suggestion then was that adding more people was only going to cover up other problems relating to the organization actually being organized.

My situation is different in the sense that we are stuck in the mud because there is no structure for actually getting work done. My boss, who is the technical side of things, is realizing his shortcomings and hiring more technical help. And I am taking advantage of his newfound enthusiasm to fix things by working in a sales team under my management.

If that makes me a hypocrite so be it. I think we are all pretty much in agreement at this point that my decision making is well intentioned but rarely turns out. Enjoy the night.
