GM's thread about nothing (8 Viewers)

Happy post Murica day everbody!!!

Chillin up at lake arrowhead watching the young nubiles. Pretty impressive display last night. The fireworks were good too. HeeeyO

Facebook friends - look at me

As my dad always said, all you really need to be a community leader is a tailgate bus and a high alcohol tolerance.

In order to prevent catastrophes like my wife giving away my last beer, I need to stock a basic beer for guests other than my beer snobby beer that will be for me and more distinguished visitors.

Not that I am really a beer snob, as I don't know much about them or drink often. I just like to occasionally try different things (mostly stouts and porters). What would be something decent to just have on hand for people in general other than like coors/miller lite type swill?

Heineken? Sam Adams?

Do you like it in the can?

I have had the DVD of Eurotrip for about ten years and have never watched it. Just had 90 minutes to kill between golf and party, so I threw it in there.

I went through that whole friggin' movie without seeing Michelle Trachtenburg's titts?!?!? Are you freakin kidding me!?!?!? RIPOFF!!!

Guess who gets to miss the entire opening Sunday of NFL season bc he has to be in Halifax first thing the next morning?

:thisguy:
Travel to Halifax on Saturday so you can watch from there
But then I miss college football!

Serious answer, I thought about that, but not sure leaving the wife and kids a day early just to watch football would be cool. She might be down with it though.
Leave in mid August so you don't miss anything.

So it turns out that the Ukrainian dream has Lyme Disease, which has been causing all her muscle/joint pains. It wasn't the mattress(es) after all.

I'd do a special trip to the bar down the street for you.

Btw, I should have read the fine print on the cookout where it said "family friendly." F###ing kids are everywhere.

I'm hiding out on the side of the house smoking cigarettes so as not to corrupt the little ones.

Family friendly is a bunch of bull####. Nobody's kids are going to be scarred around cigarettes and a bit of salty language.

Seriously though, the invite should've said "Family friendly--but PJ's gonna be there". That way, everyone would know what they're getting into. How hard is that?

Also, I hit a 9 year old in the head with a soccer ball from like 30 yards away and made him cry a little bit.

On purpose.

I'm actually really good at soccer, but I generally don't admit it. So let's keep this between us...as far as you know, it was an accident.
