GM's thread about nothing (24 Viewers)

Phoebe had her first soccer practice tonight. She probably won't be winning any MVP awards, but I'm happy to say she wasn't one of the five kids on her team who cried during practice.
I have a three year plan to get my princess ready to play LL softball in 2016.

:oldunsure:

Man I can't stand horseradish. I love spicy stuff but horseradish (and wasabi) has that thing that I just can't stand. I understand and accept that I'm probably wrong. This isn't like mushrooms here.

This is insanity - Roast Beef with Horseradish and Seared Ahi Tuna with Wasabi are both top 20 things to eat for me - maybe even contenders for top 10.

I should like horseradish and wasabi, but I don't.

I like slaw fine. Don't love it. If I order some food and it's on the plate I'll eat it, but if I have a list of sides to choose from it's likely towards the bottom of my choices.

So our sitter was supposed to work about 25 hours a week until school started. She found a full time babysitting job and was going to honor our agreement. She told my wife yesterday that the other family wanted her to start working this week, and asked if she could bring those kids here or take our kids there. My wife said no way. No response from the sitter all day yesterday, and my wife tried to call her.

Sitter didn't show up this morning. Wife is a mess, all stressed out about the next two weeks and beyond. ####.

Sorry to hear this, bro. It's really hard to find a good sitter/nanny. I've been utilizing a preschool teacher in the neighborhood the last few summers and had to share her a few hours a day with another family for about 5 weeks (only 2 hours a day). Worked out fine, but easy to see why it might be out of your wife's comfort zone.

Hang in there, GB.

Sorry to hear that Shuke. Wish I could recommend a good sitter for you but I got nothin'. Yesterday almost turned into bring your 9 year old to work day for me.

Hope things settle down for you once school starts back up.

Thanks guys. I know we'll find other help. But my wife gets so worked up. I had a hard time getting her to relax tonight.

Wife handed me 4 different positive sticks yesterday evening. Haven't even seen a Dr yet so its very early. Already more nervous than the first one.

Hope I don't have to ask for social media silence for a bit. TIA
