GM's thread about nothing (25 Viewers)

It's fine that it's getting the word out and they're raising so much money. I just think it's ridiculous seeing a bunch of grown men squealing as they poor ice cold water on themselves while it's 100+ degrees outside.

They should do this "challenge" in February in front of Tre's igloo.
I bathed in Lake Superior this morning. I think it would kill jplvr.
Which one of them did we bathe in at Scuppers?

Yes.

Why all the canteloupe hate? It's better than watermelon IMO, which was ranked tragically low.

Hey FDAS, congrats on the national titles. Haven't seen you in a while.

One of the perils of working remotely: I've been on this assignment for 10 months and throughout that time have worked with this tax guy named [Vietnamese name]. We've never spoken on the phone but email frequently, and through the months I've had a lot of interactions with him to which I've had to refer when talking to other people.

Emailed him today and got his out-of-office that "he" is on maternity leave.

Oops.

:lmao:

since joining my current place of employment, I have never taken more then 6 consecutive days off of work.

I am off today and won't be back until the 25th when I conveniently have a work related golf outing in Oakbrook.

Playing from the tips?

I had a foreign co-worker with a weird name say thank you sir to me. Every online conversation ended with thank you sir. Then one time I ended a conversation with thank you sir and the response was please, don't call me sir. No other comment. .So I responded with lol force of habit and changed the subject.

I still have no idea if the person is a dude or a chick. I know some other people who refer to the and person as he but they haven't met or talked on the phone either. I'm dying to know but have no way to find out so I have to play the pronoun game until I eventually figure out a way to confirm.

Doesn't solve the issue for you necessarily as some places allow men to take maternity leave as well. Although I guess it would be properly referred to as paternity leave.

Bailey Update: This old dog still has more juice apparently. She freaked us out last night by having a seizure. We thought it was her heart failing. Many kisses were given and tears shed. Then she slowly just got better through the night. Frikking drama queen.

Took her to the vet this morning. Vet still isn't too worried about the seizures. We may out her on seizure medication sometime in the future but are holding off for now.

The leg dragging/walking issues apparently are because she strained her back and pinched a nerve. So it's causing weakness in her legs. Doc prescribed steroids and rest and thinks that should take care of it. Also mentioned that they have a doggy chiropractor that comes in once a week that we could consider after the steroids to help prevent future back problems

This freaking dog has a ton of health problems but seems to be some sort of tank as well. Every time wr think it's the end, she bounces back.

Happy to have my fuzzy little friend around.

Maybe this person is transgendered. Good luck with that.

Went out with the 24 year old again last night. Other than the fact that her mom is younger than me, we work in the same industry and she lives 60 miles away, she's fantastic. I'm all jumpy & quo.

She doesn't even seem stabby.

Seriously considering quitting my job, getting a divorce and moving to Seattle to be Fish's intern. Kinda like Darrin for Kramerica Industries.

The Russians are awesome.

"Some of your #### got blown up when you went into Ukraine."

"Uh, no it didn't."

"British reporters saw it."

"No, no. Those weren't ours."

"They had the Russian flag on them. They were driven by guys in Russian military uniforms."

"We don't know wtf you're talking about. It wasn't us."

*voice from the other room*

"Hey, were those the trucks that got stolen last week? You know, we TOTALLY reported that to the cops. I was going to call the insurance company today."

I should add that Oak Brook is basically Naperville

Right next to We-town.
