GM's thread about nothing (34 Viewers)

Maybe some of you expert farters already figured this out, but I recently started using the manual silencer technique since getting older makes us gassier.

All you gotta do is pull a cheek out a little to allow more free flowing release of the fanny air without any noise. In a social setting, pretend to reach into your back pocket and slightly spread a cheek and you're good to go.

Made a new veggitarian red beans and rice recipe tonight and it was actually terrific. Lotta master ninja use in this one.

I probably would make some changes. Definitely needs some bay leaves. And Worchestire Shire (sp?) sauce. I used beer instead of water. And cooking the onions without oil on the bottom of the pan first is just dumb. Might even think about chipotle in adobe. And I'll probably never do canned beans again, but hey man, it cut to cook time way way way down. This was ready in an hour. Usually a 3 hour cook for me doing conventionally.

Seattle losing makes me smile. I've lived here 18 years. Spent most of my Sundays in sports bars watching NFL. People here treated the Seahawks like a disease. Far more 49ers/Raiders/Bronco fans than Seattle. Now that they are winning, freaking Seattle jerseys everywhere. Who do they think they are, Oregon Duck fan? I hope Green Bay beats them by 50.

How tomatoey were they? Never put tomatoes in red beans before.

Not very. Added a nice flavor. Probably over pureed everything too, but it was kind of nice like that. If you have time, do it "traditionally" with chopped veggies and a long cook time. Pressed for time? This is a pretty nice option....like let's say you have 5 kids, a job and coach soccer.

I've rewatched the OT three times now. Congrats to proninja in particular; I know he's had a lot of years waiting for all this.

There goes the pretzels and beer cheese soup Mrs. Osaurus was going to make me for the Super Bowel

Can you imagine no love, pride, deep-fried chicken?

Your best friend always sticking up for you even when I know you're wrong

Can you imagine no first dance, freeze dried romance, five-hour phone conversation?

The best soy latte that you ever had and me
