GM's thread about nothing (59 Viewers)

Don't colleges have to have a heart for parents of multiples? :oldunsure:
I hope so. FAFSA is filled out. Waiting for taxes to be done which is Monday I'm told. Not your average FBG moneymaker. I'm a fire fighter wife is a teacher so I hope we get a lot of financial aid. One good thing is one of them got a partial scholarship for Crew which is definitely going to help.
At least your wife gets summers off.
 Which is funny since we don't do much anyway.

Boog's make up 40 man war with 3 hours to go...

Boog 56 for 94 stars

Bellissimi 45 for 69 stars.

They still have some firepower left including 5 attacks from th10s, and we have 7 lower level bases with 2 stars available each so it isn't over. They haven't done a very good job three starring though.

Yes. Made it a lot easier when they were young. Having both our families close by was a lifesaver too,
Short work days for her too. And how many days off during the year?

Not after the first year, of course. Plus film strips whenever you don't feel like working.

Oats, there's room for you in any of the FBG clans depending on what war schedule you're looking for. What level TH are you?

Yeah, plus they have to distinguish between Kyndell and Kendyll.

A certain person who doesn't post here any more messaged me that his pre-K kid got a Valentine from a girl named Skarlytt. Even texted me a pic of it.

To those that posted the crab cake recipes.... Mucho gracias!!!! Big hit with the wife. I used a combination of all of them!!!

:thanks: Someone had to say this. I kept going in there because people were talking up the thread, but that was a mercy killing.

There were a few shtick ones that were funny, though--"First off, I really don't care how you are" was my favorite, I think.

Hoping there will be some hot cougars or GILFs there.
I like Bob Seger. :bag: Parents saw him play a year ago and said it was fantastic. Maybe you will luck out and not have to endure Old Timey Rock and Roll. Song is on my restricted list.

Shame on the Moon and Fire Lake are two underplayed and under appreciated Seger songs if you don't know 'em.
I am deep in the heart of Pickup Truck country. NFW he doesn't play "Like a Rock". And I expect a smattering of boos from the Ford/Mopar fans in the crowd.

Took about 15 seconds for some broad to throw her granny panies onstage. Then some dude from backstage rushed out to scoop them up. Sweet gig.

I can only imagine what kind of white-people filled cringe-orgy is going to happen when he plays "Old Time Rock and Roll".
IT IS. #######. ON.

I'd PM Shuke for details.

Perhaps you would have liked the thread better if you all weren't called out for being The Plastics of the FFA.

I think the GMTAN hurts the FFA in the grand scheme of things. A lot of good posters (and two of the handful of frequent female posters) stay there non-stop. Several others spend most of their time there. It's open to anyone but it's hard to feel welcome and participate unless you are really dedicated.Mr. Albino Man, tear down these walls!
I wont purport to be the spokesman for this place, and GM pretty much stated as much in the thread, but this isn't some secret club or a place where you have to know someone to post.

I was thinking about the concerns expressed in this post and the best I could come up with is that most everyone in this thread is, for the most part, "excellent to one another." Then I saw GM's post where he said it's "the FFA of the FFA" and that really sums it up nicely.

This is a place where we share our foibles and we laugh at ourselves and one another.

This is a place where we cry together and encourage one another.

This is a place where we advise and poke fun at one another.

Be positive. Share something. Make fun of Tanner's age. Make a shot video. Make us laugh. Don't piss in our Cheerios. Don't make it all about you. (Even though this is GM's thread, fortunately it is not all about him.) Don't be a doosh.

Post here more. Please.
Since when did we let gingers post in here?
You wot mate?

So I'm finally enrolling for Obamacare today. Why'd I wait for so long? This law firm I do work with on a contract basis has desired for a while to form a more substantial relationship with me, and I wanted to get onto their health plan. After weeks of being unable to get the two main partners in the same room, I only found out Friday that they were envisioning me continuing as an independent contractor rather than an employee, meaning I would not be on their health plan, and then my son was sick all day yesterday.

So I log into the Covered California website, create an account, and at very outset where I'm entering the identity information (which they need to confirm first - we're not even at the health plans page yet) I get:

CONFIRM IDENTITY The Federal Data Services Hub is not accessible at this time to confirm your identity. Please come back later to finish your application.Naturally there's no 800 number to call to actually talk to someone about this problem, so I hit the "Live Help" link... and get this:

We apologize. An error occurred when we tried to process your request. We're working to resolve this issue. Are we still happy the government's taken over this operation? As bad as insurance companies are, they're so much better to deal with than this crap.

Theoretically? Absolutely. The rollout was a disaster, though. 3 oysters could have done a better job of implementing it.

We've had our issues too. We had signed up for a private plan last year thru Humana. Jan 1, I got my bill and it had tripled over what I was paying last year. We ended up having to cancel our plan and sign up thru the exchange. We ended up getting the exact same plan through Humana that we had last year, however, before my daughter could get coverage, she had to be rejected by the state Peach Care plan. From talking to our insurance guy, this can take close to a year. So now, my wife and I are covered but my daughter is not. So what happens? Of course she broke her wrist a week and a half ago, and it all came out of pocket.

We either keep govt completely the #### out of it or just hand it over entirely. This middle ground bull#### is stupid iMO.

Nailed it. Big fan with the exception of that song.

I took the family to see the new Sponge Bob movie yesterday. Dylan was freaking wired for some reason, he's usually pretty low key. As the previews are starting he turns around to the 12-14 year old boy sitting behind him and says "hey, you want to stop kicking my chair?!". Then some Katy Perry thing come on and he says, loud enough for me to hear clearly 3 seats away in a packed theater, "I bet dad would like to take her clothes off like he does mom!! :lmao:". On the way home he says "I bet dad's favorite part of the movie was all of the boobs." When I claimed I didn't know what he was talking about he says "are you kidding me, they were everywhere!!".

There was a five minute Katy Perry video or something. (I think that cookie I ate 45 minutes before the movie was laced with something)
